I made a purchase, the seller canceled it, because he verified that the item was in bad condition. eBay says that the refund has already been made and that it will appear to me in three calendar days. It appeared to me reflected and oh surprise they stole 80 dollars in the refund, on ebay there is no way to contact me about this, help ... they reimbursed me what they wanted from ebay.

More details are needed to try to help. It sounds like you messaged the buyer and they offered a partial refund for damage? If you did not agree to a partial refund and this was all done by messages then you can still open a return to get the rest of your money back. But if you opened an official return and agreed to take a refund and keep the item then your options are limited and more details on exactly what happened are needed so we can understand better. BTW it is not eBay that withheld $80. It was your seller who did that.

@babclassics How can you determine that there was a return involved? OP clearly says seller canceled because he verified that item was in bad condition, this sounds more around the time for shipping.

I'm confused as well.

@titipeo - Oops, you are right. I read right past that seller canceled rather than item found defective after shipped. If seller did a standard eBay cancel the amount refunded should match exactly the amount paid. So there is a piece missing from OP's story.

Possibly the order was cancelled and refunded manually? Pretty sure cancel forces a full refund unless there was already a partial refund before the cancel.

Did the seller offer a partial refund (and ship anyway) first, and then decided to completely cancel? I think OP needs to look carefully at all the plus and minus dollar amounts for this item to see if there was more than one transaction. Maybe a second transaction has not posted yet? We are both confused now.

I didn't get the product, I just bought it and the seller canceled it the same day because the product was in bad condition. And there is no option for attention on this case, ebay supposedly refunded me the full amount of what I charge. The strange thing is that in my bank, they need almost 80 dollars of that refund.
