Hi. I had to return two items to two different sellers. I dropped both packages off at post office with clerk and got receipt. I was refunded for one by Seller #1 but Seller #2 said they didn’t get my package. So I looked at receipt and it shows two packages dropped off with same tracking number both going to Seller #1. I don’t know how I did that or why clerk accepted package but that’s what happened. Since the package was not returned to me I assume Seller #1 received it. I have written Seller #1 and sent the copy of post office receipt. I have not heard back yet. It was a very expensive item. What recourse would I have? Thanks

When you look at the receipt, does it show the same weight or different weights next to each scan?
If the receipt shows the same weight for the 2 scans then maybe the first package was scanned twice. Did you check the return on the second item to see what tracking shows?
If the receipt shows different weights for the 2 scans then you somehow printed the first return label twice, affixed it to both packages, and sent both items to the first seller. If that's what happened there is no recourse unless that seller is willing to send the item back to you.

It shows two different weights and 2 items dropped off . Isn’t the receipt though proof Seller #1 received it? I could sue in small claims. The item was $2500. Also my understanding is that there would be some proof she got charged two shipments. Very stupid mistake. Kicking myself.

I'm sorry, this is a bad position to be in.
Best recourse is to try and appeal to the better side of the person you sent it to.
It would be hard to sue because you voluntarily sent it to them. The package had that person's information.
Seller #2 not obligated to refund.

No, seller will be charged for only one return label through eBay. It's based on how return service labels are set up.
$2500 is a big hit. See if you can find the seller's phone number on their store about page, on the order details, or through asking a question in the listing. There are different places the number can appear if the seller chooses to make it public.

It’s a corporation and I found their corporate records and the owner as well as her address. I also have address which is local where it shipped. I’m thinking of driving there tomorrow since they have not responded to my email to them on eBay. eBay also reached out to them.

Good luck. Let us know what happens.
