I use eBay infrequently these days and I guess I didn’t realize I was checking out as a guest versus signed into my account.
The seller sent me waterlogged/broken items...trash I suppose is the word? I’m so confused. They aren’t even reminiscent of what I ordered. Took almost 2 months to arrive, too.
Now I realize I can’t even find the original listing, let alone file for a refund?
Can the sellers see this little loophole when someone pays so it encourages fraud or was this just a strange mistake and I’m eating the money? The seller has 99% feedback but now I realize that doesn’t matter anymore because you can’t leave feedback if you checked out as a guest?

Hi, I don't know if sellers are using the loophole to avoid negative feedback, but if you bought an item as a guest, you can still sign in as a guest user to view your order details or open a return. Follow these steps:
If the item wasn't as described, you're still eligible for protection under eBay's MBG - file the return using the reason "Doesn't match description or photos".
If that doesn't work for any reason, contact your bank to dispute the charge.

Thanks for your reply! I only see a paypal
authorization email for the transaction and nothing in it seems viable. It doesn’t even list the item lol. It just says “product.” Ha.
Huge lesson learned that’s for sure.
