What happens if I cancel a return request

Let’s say I request a refund for an item then cancel the return request after I shipped the item back will the item still go back to that person or will it get sent back to me ?

No, if already sent back, cancelling the return request will not reroute the package back to you.

If you've already shipped it, cancelling the Return request won't re-route it... but you'll get a refund (if you don't cancel the Return) when your seller receives it. If you have decided you want it now, you'll need to see if your seller will re-sell it to you. Good luck.

Closing out a return request will have zero impact on what happens to that package. It's in the shipping carrier's hands and will continue on its route to the seller @jim11744.

Why would you want to close the return request after shipping the item and before getting a refund? If there's more to this story we can help with advice on how to proceed from here.

I was told by your agent because I hit wrong size NOT incorrect description I now have to pat $60 to return a $120 item that was described wrong from the seller originally..So I'm out $60?!!!! #justwow today's business practices are COMPLETELY disgusting!!!

For some unknown reason, eBay decided to consider ALL 'item doesn't fit' returns to be the result of buyer's remorse ... even though the reason the item doesn't fit could well have been due to the seller having made a mistake listing or shipping the item.

You can phone your credit card company to see if they would be able to offer your a better solution to your problem.  Once you contact them and request a chargeback, however, eBay will no longer be handling the return process.

The package will be delivered as the shipper knows nothing about eBay cases in progress.  The eBay case will close and you won't be refunded.

The item will get delivered to the seller and you won't get a refund because you closed the case.

I did the same as you. I opened a refund case because item did not arrive. The seller told me to ship it back before he would refund. But he never shiped the item to me and obviously I did not receive it. So finally I stood without the money, without the item and seeing how some people make money fooling the rest of the world. 

Of course, imposible to make ebay step in and defend my case. Maybe I did something wrong. Lets think that way. Be happy.

Why would you open a return when you didn't receive anything?

You should have clicked "I didn't receive it " instead. 
File a chargeback with your credit card.
