Trouble with 'Item Not Received' Claim

Here's the situation: A buyer filed an 'Item Not Received' Claim. At the time, the item was a couple days late, so I gave them a refund and an apology. Couple days later the tracking updated to show that the item had arrived. What can I do at this point? Do I contact the buyer, or ebay? Or just file a PIP claim as if it never arrived? Any help or advice is much appreciated. Thx!

Trouble with 'Item Not Received' Claim

You can contact the buyer or eBay but neither has to give the money back.

What is a PIP claim?

Next time you should tell the buyer to wait for the shipping carrier since it's out of your hands and you don't want to lose your money and the product. You can make a domestic claim with the USPS if the package doesn't get delivered after a certain amount of time. The USPS has lost some of my packages before and they've had to pay me in full for the mistakes.

It's the Parcel Insurance Protection attached to Ebay standard envelope shipping. I've used it before for similar situations. Thx for responding.

Contact your buyer and  ask very nicely if  them to write " refused" on the package and put it back in the mail.  It will then be shipped back to the sender.  When you appeal to their decency, most will ship it back.
