So long story short - I ordered an iPad Air from a eBay seller which was supposed to be in a "brand new sealed box". When I received the package it was nothing like the listing description and even a different model of iPad. So I opened a return request, and shortly after that the seller started sending me threatening texts on the messages saying I am defrauding him and he sent the correct item. He even went on to imply he knows my physical location and would contact my landlord. Right after that my girlfriend whos phone number is publicly listed as a homeowner started getting threatening text messages saying to "make things right" and things like "I know where you live". The text messages are from the same state where the seller is based out of (assuming from the shipping label) and we don't know anyone else from there. There is a good chance that's the seller because why else would the threats start right after the return request? I reached out to eBay and gave them all the details. Also filing a police report. Any other suggestion? She is traumatized from those threats.
