I encourage the seller community to unite against fraudulent buyers. There is no protection for sellers! The protection might work for the US, but the rest of the eBay world doesn't care! Why is eBay protecting fraudulent buyers?
Here's my story:
I have a 100% seller rating.
I sold the product. The buyer bought THREE pieces! The buyer paid for the item.
I shipped the item with a tracking number. The buyer received the goods - this can be seen by the tracking number. The buyer also admitted in the correspondence that he had received the goods. The buyer immediately opens a return request upon receipt. I'm asking what's the matter, why did you open a return request. The buyer writes that he was mistaken and wanted to buy another product.
I repeat - the buyer bought THREE pieces! When I replied that I always take photos and videos of the packaging process. All ID numbers and tags are visible on the video and photo. The buyer writes that he will keep the goods for himself. I am asking the buyer to cancel the return request. The buyer ignores my request. And there are no mechanisms to address this issue.
The buyer has received the goods. The buyer did not pay after the fact. And eBay is always on the buyer's side, even if the buyer is a fraud.
**bleep** eBay!?!? I have fulfilled all the obligations of the seller. WHERE IS MY MONEY?
PS: I ask all deceived sellers to support my message. There is no eBay reaction to "Report a buyer". This "BUTTON" is just a mockery of me. I want eBay to see the problem. EBay collects its fee completely and every month. But eBay spits on me and wipes my feet on me. Where is the EBAY justice !?

You leave so much out of a story; Do you allow returns? What was the 'reason' for the return? Simply approve the return having the customer 'send' it back; if they didn't mean to hit 'return' then they won't return it and you won't be out anything.

Please accept my apology if I have not understood your post.
Noted that " The buyer immediately opens a return request upon receipt".
Please start by accepting this return. It is in your best interest to do so.
It does not matter what reason Buyer stated.
After opening the return case
Noted that " The buyer writes that he will keep the goods for himself."
Noted that "I am asking the buyer to cancel the return request."
Noted that "The buyer ignores my request".
When you accept a return eBay gives buyer approximately 14 days to post the item back and as if buyer has not uploaded a tracking reference then about 7 or so days later eBay will close the case without a refund to buyer. eBay can not close return cases before these times.

Your money must be on hold and if your buyer returns the item then you will issue a refund and this money will be used to refund the buyer. If your buyer does not return the item and case is closed without a refund then this money will be released to you.
You appear to be in good shape as case is open but buyer is saying he will not be returning the items. Just sit tight it is only a question of time you will either get your items back or your money.
eBay as a platform have not done anything wrong that I can see.

Yes, if you approve the return and the buyer does not return the item, you're out nothing except a little time and annoyance.

What does that mean, you shipped your items before the buyer paid? I realize you are angry but you've written doesn't make much sense. How can anyone get behind you if we can't understand what the issue is exactly. Best of luck to you....

I answer to everyone who doubts me. I approved the return immediately. I always go to meet honest customers. But I see when the buyer is lying or not talking. I have been on eBay since 2009 and have seen different things. I was both a buyer and a seller. The buyer's personal reasons are none of my business. The buyer has provided a reason for the return.
I agreed and accepted the return without reservation. But in personal correspondence, the buyer began to write a different reason and this alarmed me. The buyer bought THREE GTX 1070 video cards. In personal correspondence, the buyer wrote that “his son asked for an RTX 3070 video card, and he bought three GTX 1070s”.
I also see in his profile that the buyer bought mining equipment. How can you confuse one RTX 3070 and three pieces of GTX 1070? "What's wrong with this world?" Also, the offer of video cards in the US is larger and cheaper with free shipping.
After when I wrote that “I always take a photo of the package attachment and make a video of the product with all the labels and barcodes,” the buyer “suddenly” decided to keep the product for himself. The buyer referred to expensive shipping back. Where in this case have I lied or kept silent? I didn’t write just the details of the deal.

If you list on this site you are treated the same way as a seller when it comes to returns regardless of where you live. I'm not sure exactly what you are upset about...is it because ebay are still holding your funds? They will probably do that until they know that the buyer will not return the item.

I am upset that there is no way to influence dishonest buyers. And the seller's "plate" protection is a fiction. How is eBay supposed to know if a buyer has decided to keep the item? A buyer wrote this to me in private messages via eBay. eBay reads personal correspondence? Apparently you are not completely reading my messages.
Or you do not understand my indignation because English is not my native language and I am writing through an online translator.

Your anger and frustration is understandable and this situation would have ceased had your buyer closed his return.
For reasons best known to him he did not or could not close the case.
Case belongs to buyer and seller and not to eBay who set the time frame only.
eBay will act on the case only after expiry of this time and this should be shown on the case and I expect it to be around 04-05-2021. Not long to go.
As humans some of us are blessed with a little more intelligence than others and this does not make us any better or others worse just different and we should make allowances for these differences.

I believe every one has read and understood your messages.
May be collectively we have failed to make you understand that eBay can not and will not close a case till certain time has passed.
It does not matter and should not matter to eBay what you and your buyer said to each other on eBay till their is a dispute and then eBay do and will read and take into account what is said in messages.
There is no dispute between you and your buyer so eBay have no reason to read or consider the messages.
This is a forum and all who post on this do so to help buyers and sellers like you and I and we should be grateful that they take the time to do this even if they disagree, But I suppose I am old school and not new generation who want to be heard but do not want to listen.

If the buyer doesn't return the item then you can ask eBay to escalate and close the case in your favor and the money is released back to you.
End of story, nothing to have a heart attack about.
People who give you a less than favorable opinion of their intelligence is a fact of life when selling retail, be it in person or online. Sure maybe they're trying to steal from you, but you can't lose your head every time it happens.

Buyer does not close the return request. The buyer ignores me. There is neither a button nor a checkmark that the buyer will not return the product. For some reason, eBay thinks that the package should have already returned to me. And I have to return the money by April 20th. If the buyer doesn't return the item or close the case, Ebay will close the case when they are ready and they'll release the funds back to you.

Just happened to me again for the hundredth time. The customer even lied in writing and refuses to send pictures. eBay won't do anything and is trying to make me feel like I have to accept. Even with the customer's lies in writing! They are losing 22.1 billion a year because they are allowing fraud and deceit, won't protect sellers and keep making excuses and saying things no company would. I have dealt with so many company's and no company allows refunds like this no matter what eBay says. I'm beginning to believe the rumors eBay has people who go online, buy products from sellers and then demand returns for free product and money to sell again. I don't know what to believe because it makes no sense that a company would allow this level of lies and deceit from customers and willingly allow it. It happens to much and despite 5 years of trying to work with eBay, I got a bunch of empty assurances and no changes for the better. I'm a customer too and it makes me not want to do business with the company because I know how bad they treat their sellers
