I purchased perfume and did not open the box to check inside after several months had passed by. And then when I opened it, I found out the perfume was counterfeit. I contacted the seller and told them I wanted a refund because the perfume was fake. The seller told me to send it back, and I did it at my own expense via USP ground because the seller did not provide a return label. The perfume arrived at the seller's address two weeks ago, and I still haven't received the refund. The seller also blocked me, so I cannot contact them anymore to ask for a refund.
I'm sad and disappointed because of this unfortunate situation. I understand that I left it too long to open a return case. But I feel that the seller did wrong to me because they shouldn't request me to return the item if there was no intention to refund the money. The total cost of this case is approximately $283 (item + return shipping). I'm in dismay that I probably will not get my money back. Is there anything I can do?

I also feel disturbed that this seller is still relevant and selling the same fake perfume on eBay. I even saw that someone had left a negative review stating the same thing I experienced, that the item was counterfeit - the next day, I checked back to see how the seller would respond - that negative feedback was gone!

With ebay's Money Back Guarantee you had 30 days from the date of delivery to open an item not as described case. You let too much time to pass for that.
You do have up to 180 days to file a charge back through PayPal, if that is how you paid, or with your credit card. Be sure to have tracking available as proof of return.
Good luck

Thank you. Unfortunately, it did not go through PayPal.

I tried to dispute the transaction through my bank, but they said they could not investigate it because it was too long ago.

I’m so sorry this happened to you.

Since the seller is still selling fakes, maybe at least contact the rights owner and let them know. If they are selling fakes then a takedown by a VeRO may put them on eBay's radar for account suspension/banned.

You have buyer protection on eBay for 30 days....if you waited months to send this back then seller really doesn't have to do anything.
The correct way is to open your package before the 30 days, if its not as described you open a case, the seller provides a return label, you use that label to send it back and when it shows delivered you get your refund.
