I bought some Harley cvo style tank badges from a seller in the UK. Paid $181 total. Badges arrived in about a week and they didn’t fit the tank. Plus, they were plastic and $181 is quite a lot of money for some plastic stuff that didn’t fit. I initiated a return and contacted seller. eBay suggested to return to sellers registered address in the UK, seller had tried to convince me to ship it to some guy in North Dakota and I refused since they never sent me a prepaid shipping label. So I shipped it back to them on April, 15th via USPS using the address that eBay gave me. Item arrived to the UK and they tried to deliver it on April 21st, but it was returned to the post office due to “insufficient address” and it’s been stuck in this “incorrect address - addressee’s address being verified” since then. USPS is no help since the package is outside of the US and parcelforce said that I need to update delivery address and I have no idea how, plus I don’t know what to correct, address I put in customs form matches eBay information. I’m stuck and don’t know what to do now. I took pics of customs form, USPS receipt with tracking number and uploaded to the return. Seller says that they haven’t received it and I cannot ask eBay to “step in”. I paid $58 to ship this stuff back so I spent $239 total and seem to be unable to get my money back. It may be the last time I bought something on eBay cause it sucks. Amazon gives your money back in 20 minutes and don’t even ask why I returned whatever I bought. Terrible experience.

When an item is not as described the seller, not the buyer, pays for return shipping. eBay says:
When a buyer returns an item and it doesn't show delivered within the specified timeframe then we will look at three possible situations to determine the outcome. 1. If the buyer used an eBay return label then we will close the case in the buyers favor, regardless of who paid for the return label. 2. If the buyer used their own label and they paid for it themselves, we will close the case in the sellers favor. 3. If the seller sent the buyer a label and the seller paid for it, we will close the case in the buyers favor. |
So you spent extra, plus won't get your money back, and might have to pay for the round trip as well.

I did what eBay told me to do. It never gave me an option for the label, but said to ship it back using “your preferred shipping service provider”. I’m not paying for anything else. I’m very disappointed with this situation and eBay.

Is the seller not responding with correct address so you can correct with customs?

Your seller mangled their return address @onurtaeff to prevent a refund. Instead, click "Contact eBay on Messenger" at Facebook here, leave your name, email, and zip code
and ask eBay to review the "Insufficient Address" due to the return address eBay provided, to get your forced refund regardless the non-delivery.

Nope. I sent them a screenshot of the customs form with the address and asked if it’s correct, but got no response

I am in UK and I may be able to help.
Please advise what address details do you have?
If you have a post code and a building name or number then we can figure out the missing address details for you to update.
Please visit your sellers listings and send me one of his current item numbers and I shall attempt to get you his full address.

Thanks for the offer!
I finally got a refund from eBay. Refunded an original amount and of course I’ve lost 57 bucks that I paid to get it shipped back. Better than nothing I guess.
I PMd you seller details
Thanks for helping, guys!
