Hello, I have a return in progress for an action camera that was sold new in factory sealed package. Buyer is claiming it does not work right and it must not be authentic. When I receive the return, it will be used and in an opened box. Should I give a full refund and take a loss on shipping both ways and reduced value of item sold? Is there anything I can do, just don't feel this is fair. I tried tried to contact buyer for more information and never received a reply. Any advise would be appreciated.

If it was sealed, you don't know if the camera works right or not.
When the buyer claims it doesn't work, they get a full refund.

"camera that was sold new in factory sealed package"
I do not know what to tell you.
Lots of options.
NOS sat too long and now defective?
Not really NOS, buyer received a repackaged unit (unknown to you)
Buyer is a idiot?
Hate to say it, but if it is escalated, you will loose.
Take it back and be nice, do not see another option
Any tech sale has a downside.

First, after you have the Camera back, make sure every part is there, if not, file for 'Item received in damaged condition' or missing parts. You can get up to %50 of the sale value. All claims for damages or missing parts should be legit, pictures, comparison, expert opinion ... You have 48 hours or two business days to report
If all okay, then, try the manufacturer warranty
Once you get the Camera back, send it to the manufacturer and ask; what's wrong with it? If they say, it's all okay, you have a camera with factory paperwork. Better than a used camera!?
I know, this is not fair but, it's what, it is

Do you have a citation for any of the information you've cited? Could you provide a link to eBay help pages, for example?

@pburn Not really, but I have first hand experience going through the process. It's like live and learn. Do you return much? Boy this ' No Return' policy is like a magnet
I got couple of full refunds as well in old days
But I am certain, it's there. Will look it up after Christmas and let you know for sure
Remind me please

There is a lot of misinformation here. The bottom line is that the buyer, either from ignorance or regret, has decided they don't want this item anymore.
Your no-return policy has coerced them to return it.
Since they claim it's fake, doesn't work, wrong dang model, WHATEVER, you're going to have to accept a return and refund them. As mentioned, it's part of selling online. You put your foot down and you lose. Accept the return and hopefully you can resell it.
Good luck~

Yeah. Be sure and tag me when you post a link to the supporting documentation for your claim.
