Return taking so long of High value refurbished TV (came damaged(dead pixels) condition)

I bought a refurbished TV for £1000, turned it on and top centre had patches of dead pixels. I immediately opened a return with seller with photos of the Tv, they agreed that its pretty bad and organised a pick up. I took photos of tv packed with accessories and reference number by the guy picking the TV. sent all to seller and confirmed it has been sent. the reference they provided for return doesn't show any tacking info.

Then it took almost 11 days still nothing was refunded, after few messages, seller said they have received in their warehouse and will be refunded in 2 days. By this time i opened case with ebay, they went through everything and said they have closed the case in my favour  since i have done was was supposed to be done.

2 days on still nothing, meanwhile seller messaged back saying they have refunded but since i have opened case with ebay it will be reviewed by high value items team.

Again contacted Ebay, they said its still pending with high value team and will be decided in 72 hrs...

My question, what is going on with this?  First i was sent a rubbish item by seller , now ebay just sitting on it and delaying my refund, specially when seller has received the item and already refunded..

Your on the USA board . Log out of eBay and then back into your account. Then ask on the UK board as your rules could be a bit different.   Sounds like your case is under review by eBay.
