Hi - new to this - i sold an iphone. Buyer emailed me when they received it saying it was in excellent condition. Then he starts asking if I would give partial refund because in 3 -4 months they many need to buy a new battery because battery life said 80%. I said it was a used phone and if you charge it everyday it holds a charge. Buyer is very rude now. Ebay accepted a return request on my behalf. Then the next day it says buyer closed case. I have no tracking information on a return being sent back. Does the case closed mean they are sending it back or does it mean they are keeping it?

It means they were told to return it for a refund and they decided to keep it instead and closed the eBay case. I guess they saw their ploy to get it cheaper and keep it fell through.

They are either going to keep it or file a claim with their payment source.

What do you mean ebay accepted a return request?
Sellers don't issue 'return requests'; not even possible.
