I Sold an alienware monitor to a customer and now he's stating its the wrong model. Sure enough the pictures he sent me were of the wrong model however I forgot to take a picture of the serial number to verify whether or not it is. He stated he wants a partial refund or a full refund for him to return it. What are your thoughts? Is he attempting to scam? what should I do?

@tmtechbus All the buyer has to do is open an item not as described and you will be forced to accept, and supply a return label. You have the right to say, please return for a full refund, then sent a label and hope they ship back what they actually ordered. Your best bet is to be kind to this buyer and depending on the amount of your transaction offer them a partial refund. This platform caters to the buyer so they are in the drivers seat. You will lose any case they file so always keep your own best interests in mind. What will be the quickest and least impactful solution for yourself, only you can answer that. Best of luck to you....

Don't do partial refund. You should wait until the buyer opens the case and returns item, then you can send them the full refund.

I always find it funny that the buyer is willing to accept the "wrong" item for a discount. Which is why I never do partial refunds. Keep it, or send it back. Either way, no partials.
Don't do partial refunds, you're setting yourself up to discount your products after the sale for a very long time.

Have the buyer return for a full refund. If a buyer files an "Item not as described" case you will be forced to refund.
@lamber9347 is right about fighting the ebay cases. The MBG always favors the buyer in 99 percent of situations. And if you fight it and loose your account gets dinged by ebay

You're using Stock Photos for Used and for Parts Only items? This isn't allowed and can be confusing for the buyer.

Can second this. As a buyer POV I want to know the condition of the item, I love details. Any imperfections, reasons why its being sold, does it come with batteries, damage, etc. that is all stuff that I want to know. It helps me decide if I want this item and increases my trust with the seller
