Requested a refund and to return the items
Immediately got my refund processed despite not even returning the items at all????
Should I contact the seller or just let it be?

Let it be. Might be a seller from another country who doesn't want to pay for return shipping.
Was it China?
And they probably are trying to protect their feedback.

This usually means the seller refunded and did not want to pay the return shipping to have the item returned.
The seller decided to cut their losses and not have the item returned.
