If I return an item back to the seller, I'm supposed to get all of my money refunded back?

What is the reason for the return? If the item isn't as described you get your original payment refunded in full. On a buyer's remorse return the seller can deduct from the refund original shipping paid by the buyer.

If you return original item in same condition as received then you should get full refund.
TR Seller has the option of refunding 50% of item price paid if buyer has acted dishonestly by deliberately choosing SNAD return when it was a remorse return or returning a used or switched item.
Best advice I can give you is to read up on MBG and eBay's return policy.

Depends.
There are multiple scenarios where you do not get a 100% refund.
You return the item in a different condition or missing parts and the seller is TRS.
You open a remorse return.
You open a remorse return and the item never arrives with the seller.
You try to game the system and return something without paying the shipping when you should have and the seller is TRS.
