REFUND TO A CUSTOMER WHEN EBAY TOOK FEES

Maybe I'm out of it, but I sold $1200 with of posters to a customer, I agreed on a return and they cam back all damaged...ebay STILL refunded the customer and I'm left in the negative in my money..Dont get me started with that! My thing is when the money was deposited in my account it was only 807.02 , not $1200, So why in the world would I have to refund the full $1200 and not the 807.02. HOW  am I suppose to come up with the money that greedy ebay took from the sale! I should only have to refund what ebay deposited. This place REALLY SUCKS and I hope more people leave this platform as I'm tired of their policy that only benefits the buyers who pay ZERO TO ebay

Ebay pays back the FVF on a return; unless you did not perform that refund and ebay had to do it for you. When you click 'refund' it shows what portion ebay pays.

Was this an eBay return case?

Do you except returns?

What was the reason used by buyer if it was an eBay case?

Re: REFUND TO A CUSTOMER WHEN EBAY TOOK FEES

In your new listing you said you accepted the return and "EBAY REFUNDED THIS PERSON".

I think that is where they got you.  eBay expects you to take care of this but it reads like eBay forced a refund because you did not take of it within the allotted time.  If you had refunded the buyer on your own then eBay  would not have keep their commission.

You can call eBay and if you get a sympathetic agent they may waiver their fees.  I have read there is also a way to contact them on Facebook.
