eBay's buyer protection policy covers you for only 30 days after you receive the package. Here's a link to eBay's buyer protection policy, which they call the "Money Back Guarantee":

Some sellers allow returns for a longer period. You need to check the listing. If the seller accepts returns for more than 30 days, then you need to start the return process for that specific listing and send the item back to the seller that you bought it from.

a.) you need to return it to the seller, once you open a return request (you will find in your 'my ebay' under purcahses)
b.) been longer than 30 days so more than likely you cannot return it.

Find the Order in your Purchase History and tick on the 'More Actions' drop-down menu to the right. If you see 'Return this item', tick it and the process is automated. (Trust me, eBay knows "to who".) Follow the prompts as far as you can go.
If it's too late to start a Return with eBay, you could try PayPal (if you used them) or your credit card. Good luck.
