Problem with seller on which company to use for return

Hi Everyone,

So I bought an iPhone (New and sealed) from a seller which have very good feedback.

When I received the phone in Saudi Arabia I noticed that the box is very different that the Apple deliver.

I Claim a case with eBay and requested me to return the item on seller case.

Now I have one issue that the seller want me to return the item using local post since it is cheap

but my post office refuse to ship any thing to china that have Lithium Battery built-in and they mention this in their website as well as with PDF document but unfortunately eBay want me to provide an official document with a stamp from my post office which I will never be able to do so

and the seller is taking advantage of this

Please help I am stuck here.

I thought eBay users in most countries are unable to access customer service through social @comics-scifi-collectibles ? Just a handful can.

Re: Problem with seller on which company to use for return

Thanks for replying to her,

As matter of fact the seller already paid 80$ in my PayPal Account.

But This is not enough if I wanted to go with another Shipper as they might charge me around 200$ (Item Cost is 396$)

But I did notice that the seller Give the 80$ as purchase transaction not as a gift and he provided 2 different return address

1 in eBay and 1 in PayPal

So if I use one address the other will be marked as not receive (and I believe the seller is trying to scam me here "Correct me if I am wrong")

And I explained this to the agent which I am sure he is not AI but with no hope

@ealrwaily85  The seller has to pay you the rest of the money for the return shipping.

Are you able to contact eBay on one of the social media sites?  The agents are usually more experienced on social media.

Yes @ealrwaily85 you are being scammed. You will not get the refund for the phone, and the seller will take back their $80 advanced for the return shipping.

1. Your $80 return tracking will never show delivered.

2. As you noted, the address at eBay won't work for a PayPal case.

3. Within 180 days, your seller will win a PayPal dispute, and get their $80 back.

How you should have solved this is to tell eBay you didn't get a prepaid return label, and then go silent to wait out the 5-day hold. After that, eBay would have forced a full refund no return needed.

But now that you're on x, perhaps use y, to get you z.
