Odd return

Person bought a VCR from me last week. Item was tested, double boxed, and shipped UPS. Person got the item and says it doesn't work at....and it multiple ebay broken english messages asked why am I selling junk and what can they do. Asked if box was damaged at all? Nope. Told them to start a return and they said ok. Was waiting for the whole....it'll cost you too much to ship it back how about a refund and call it good. Never came.

3 days later (today) got a message saying they sent the item back through USPS for $26.00 and heres the tracking number. Hmmmm....no refund started through ebay and they shipped it back for almost double the shipping cost. No item yet. What would you guys do about this one???

You got lucky if they paid return shipping.

When you get it back, refund the buyer.

Were it me, I would refund the buyer the monies they paid for the initial transaction after the item was returned to me. I'd not feel it necessary to refund additional shipping they paid... maybe they didn't know how to open an eBay Return, who knows?

Afterthought... maybe the buyer has abused the MBG, who knows?

If the item is returned to me in the same condition as I shipped and the item is for sure working, (Customer was not being truthful)

I would refund their original purchase price less the shipping cost of the original shipment.

That is a strange one indeed. Did they never open a return request on Ebay?

Are they trying to play PAL related media on a NTSC machine? Could be a format issue.

Never started a return on eBay.....supposedly sent it back and paid for return shipping but gave me the price they paid. I can only bet they want that money too when its time for a refund. Curious to see what they return.
