I purchased an item from a buyer that does not accept returns, not a big deal but he sold an item (Fire Extinguisher) that the local fire marshall stated was not permitted for commercial use as it was over 10 years old. He never responded to my requests until I left negative feedback stating that although his items are used, they are not permitted for use in commercial business due to their age (something he fails to state in his auctions). In any event, eBay sent me a refund due to zero response from the seller, but my negative feedback was removed. I'm not sure why...

Did you mention the word refund or Ebay stepped in as the comment? If yes, that is why it was removed. You can't mention that.

No. I'm aware of both of those things. Neither word was mentioned. I made sure to tell future buyers to inquire about the age of the extinguisher he was to ship to them due to the fire code.

Wait--are you the buyer or the seller?

The items were listed as used?

You are mad at the seller for not informing you about your local fire codes for commercial buildings?

Sorry, but what's "-si?" Is that fire-extinguisher lingo?

I didn't see anywhere in my post where I used the word mad. Do you? Reread my post.

pburn-
you seem to have a talent for finding grammatical mistakes. I'm the buyer and just like the post stated, the items were listed as used.

You are clearly upset that your feedback didn't stand.
Your OP looks like an AITA to me. You should have done research on your local fire codes. Let the readers decide.

So, as a 30 yr Construction Manager/Professional- I am wondering
a.) why would you buy a 'used' fire extinguisher in the first place and
b.) every county in every state has different parameters of what is 'expired' and what is not- so if you did not question this before purchasing- that would be on you.
Anyway, my guess is the reason it was removed was
a.) because seller accepts returns and you did not pursue that
b.) not up to the seller to 'determine' when/if a "USED" fire extinguisher is considered "expired".

Are you the OP of this thread? What happened to @huntertoo?
Who's on first?

...and why did you leave negative feedback again?
