A buyer recently purchased an item and provided an incorrect mailing address (wrong town and zip code). USPS returned the item to me with label indicating insufficient address. I have asked buyer to provide correct address and an additional $4 for postage to mail again. I have received no response. It has been a few days. I sent another message to buyer saying that I would refund the money if I did not hear from her. When I refund should I refund the price of the item including shipping (I would then lose the postage amount I paid) or refund the price not including the postage. What would be the eBay standard in this situation?

If the buyer does not respond (and keep in mind that many buyers may be on vacation, without access to internet coverage), refund the buyer the purchase price, minus shipping, minus the eBay fixed-value fee which you were charged (either 30 cents if the sale price was under $10.00, or 40 cents if it was over $10.00).

Refund minus your costs. I wouldn't spend much time, other than a quick message stating "the package was returned to me for insufficient address, you will receive a refund for the cost of the item, and the item will be relisted if still interested" The buyer can then repurchase if they want, or someone else can buy it.
