I need to return a pair of shoes, but it would not let me get the return label...Help

If the shoe is smeared in authenicity 

- How is it covered, when there's no recourse?

- eBay owns the authenticator, so how is that authentic?

it was a final sale, and you cannot return the shoe for a refund.

However, if you paid with money, eBay rules do not apply outside of eBay -- to your payment provider, PayPal or your card issuer, where you can return the shoe for a full refund, just like in the normal world.

How do you know the shoes went to an authenticator?

They didn't, they did not reach the value for the authentication program.

@an-36344  If you have opened a Not as Described case and have not received the return label within 4 days, go back to the case and ask eBay to step in.
