I just requested a return for "change mind". The return was accepted instantly and there were several options for me to choose eBay generated shipping label of different carriers and services including FedEx and USPS. However, there was no option to choose own shipping label or upload own tracking number. I had to choose the USPS label generated by eBay and the label is now available for print.
The package is now at a freight forward service company. I have no control of this package. The company uses its own shipping label for all returns and I have purchased label from them. They won't refund the label unless I cancel return. So I have to use their label instead of eBay's.
The problem is I find nowhere to upload own tracking number in eBay system??? Any one knows how to do it? If I did mistake in selecting label and I want to start over, can I cancel return and reopen a return request as along as it's still within 30 days of receiving package? Is this allowed?
I know the seller is honest and will refund when return received. Does eBay allow seller click some button to refund in eBay system (not in PayPal) even there's no valid return tacking info when return is active? In case the return package is not shipped back in time , eBay closes return in around 14 days. If seller receives back after 14 days, he has to issue refund in PayPal. But is this still deemed as a valid eBay return, meaning eBay will refund seller fees? If not, it's possible seller will only issue partial refund to cover his loss.
