I purchased an IPad a few days ago from a shop on Ebay, selling refurbished ipads. The battery life is awful, it goes from 100% down to 0% in less than 25 mins, the seller advised me to give it a full charge a few times, which I've done, but there's no improvement.
They then said I could send it back to them for repair, but I stated that the item was purchased only a few days ago, and that surely they should send a replacement upon me returning the faulty one... to which they said I'd have to buy another and return the original for a refund.
I've told them I'd now like a fill refund due to it being faulty, they have said the only way to get a free return label is to select 'didn't like it' option ...?? This to me sounds odd, does this mean I won't be able to leave honest feedback? Surely if the item is faulty I have to return with the option stating the item is defective?
They also said if I don't use the 'didn't like it ' option, then I may have to pay, or the return may not be accepted.
What should I do?!
I'd like to be able to leave an honest review so others can be wary of faulty batteries!
Thanks!

Refurbished does not mean they included a new battery.
If you got a good price, try to purchase a replacement battery.
Otherwise, open a return, send it back, get a refund and purchase another one.

That is false information.
Was the iPad described as fully functional?
If it was, then you can file a return and indicate that the items is "not as described" for the simple reason that the iPad is NOT fully functional. End of story.
That way, the seller will have to pay for return shipping.
Do not communicate further with the seller. Let eBay's computers handle everything from now on.
You will get your money back -- eBay will make sure that you do.
I'm curious -- does this seller have any negative feedback from other buyers?

DO NOT select didn't like it, they are tricking you. If you choose that reason they can deny the return
Open item not as described case and choose faulty/non functional. Not sure how it is worded.
