How are items actually returned? USPS?

It's been ages since I had a return, I'm just wondering if returns are shipped USPS or another way. With all the buzz about buyers returning something different, well if it ever happens I'd want to report them for postal fraud. If items are returned by another method it wouldn't be postal fraud. Not that I expect it to be helpful, just my rule, and my company rule, is do your best to make sure thieves do not profit. So if I have a return and send them a label through ebay, what carrier does it go with?

The carrier is the same as the one you used to ship the item.

When you send them a label through eBay, simply look at the label to tell what carrier does it go with.

Or if the buyer buys their own label

-- and it shows delivered

-- yet you don't receive your item back

-- but you have to refund because it shows delivered

it is not illegal for a person to mail something to any address and give anyone that tracking number, that's not postal fraud.
