Hi just a quick question,
After I sell an item, I get charged with ebays selling fee (12.5%?) right?
Then if a buyer wants to return and item and I give them a full refund, do I have to give them the 100% value from my pocket? So am I down 12.5%?
Regards
C

If buyer files a' item not as described 'case, you pay return ship in addition to full refund and 30 cent transaction fee
Not required to pay return ship in a ' remorse' case

Cheers, but what about the sellers fee ebay takes after I sell an item? Is the money on hold until after return period or something?

Doesn't matter what type of 'return' a customer does regarding the 12.55% fee. That is refunded back to the customer, you will see how much you are REALLY refunding when you actually process the refund (but it is not 100% of what customer paid- it is what you 'got') minus .30c. Sales Tax collected is also refunded by ebay.
But, if the 'return' is for 'not as described' then you will be paying for the return shipping label (will show days later in your Payments report).
If you don't respond to the return case, or you don't 'refund when you receive the item back and the customer has to 'escalate to ebay', then you will NOT get that 12.55% back.

I see thank you. I am happy to do a refund if the customer doesn't like the camera I'm selling - if this is the case he requests a refund and I accept it without issue, I won't be losing the 12.5% right?
Cheers

have him return it then tell him you never received it. ebay will help you steal his money. ebay wants the fees/ then you can resale item.

Why are you recommending that a seller commit fraud here?

weldon is doing this because he/she failed to follow the MBG guidelines, and was beaten out of a refund.

I just had an item returned today ("didn't fit", so a 'remorse' return just like "doesn't like") and my FVFs were credited back to me after I refunded the buyer in full for the purchase price of the item. You won't lose the FVFs.
