Here's a novel idea, you get scammed by a buyer, Ebay or a Credit Card Company gives them their money and you get nothing, an empty box or worse, so you file a dispute with your card company giving them all the details of the case.
Think they would reverse the Ebay refund or the credit card chargeback ? This would only work if your credit card were charged for the refund.

Sorry but credit card protection protects buyers not merchants. There is some limited protection for stolen cards.

Would it work?
Initially. But then ebay will come after their money and ruin your credit if you try to hold out.

As the seller on this platform you were never paid by your buyer via your own credit card, so how would that work as a chargeback for you? You are the merchant here.
