Can I return an item if I used a freight forwarding service

Hi there,

I have a somewhat complex question that I can not for the love or god find an answer to.

So I am well familiar with the fact that if you as a buyer use a third party freight forwarding service that you are voided of the ebay money back guarantee protection in case a damaged or a different item arrives to you.

But what if I want to return an item that got to me in the normal condition it was supposed to arrive, I just had a change of heart?

You would have to pay all the shipping back to the seller if they agree to the return AND most likely will only be refunded for the price of the item.

It would be a remorse return and so you the buyer are responsible for all shipping arrangements and getting it back in the same condition.

So the seller would have an option to not agree to my return?

Yes if he takes no returns.

If he takes returns, usually 30 days- which would be from time of delivery to the US destination (1st destination) so even if seller takes returns up to 30 days and now it's 'beyond'; the seller can also 'deny' the return for refund claim.

Your sister or someone returned a $1000. phone from Croatia and its a new account and seller claimed they got a rock instead from your sister or whoever. Is that correct?

So, according to the Ebay Customer Support, you guys are wrong.

 

 

The support answered that if a freight shipping service was used that the ebay money back guarantee is out of question, which also means that you CAN return the item, but the seller can choose not to refund you just because you used such a service and ebay will not step in.
