I sold a sweater brand new with tags after sending an offer to a buyer. I even gave free shipping. She only paid $18, so I made next to nothing off the item. I had multiple photos of the item in the listing. The buyer messaged me a week after it was delivered and said she wanted to return it because the quality wasn't as expected. I asked her to be specific about what was wrong with the quality and she just said it looked cheap.
I have a feeling she just changed her mind considering she waited an entire week to message me about it. And besides that, I can't even find a way to start a return for an item I listed as "no returns." I have read that sellers don't really have the option to refuse the return because ebay will just refund the buyer anyway. Is there any way of not allowing this woman to return? What should I do? If I should allow her to return, how do I even start that process?

Please read carefully
Step 1: Ask your buyer to initiate a return from their purchase history on their end.
Step 2. Your buyer will have to choose a reason for the return. If they choose "item doesn't fit" "Changed my mind" "Found cheaper." "Just don't like it"You can decline the the return per your NO RETURNS policy. You must respond within 3 business days
BUT BUT BUT BUT IF they "lie" and choose "Item not as described" "Doesn't seem authentic" "arrive damaged" you must accept a return and purchase a return shipping label and send it to them with tracking. You must respond within 3 business days. You don't want ebay to get involved and put your seller account in jepordy.
Step 3: Buyer sends item back
Step 4: Once you received the purchased item issue a full refund including shipping costs from your order history with 2-3 business days.
DO NOT DO NOT issue a refund BEFORE you get your item back
NOTE: If a buyer chooses "item doesn't fit" "Changed my mind" "Found cheaper." "just don't like it." and you are feeling GENEROUS. You can still approve of the return and either ask the buyer to purchase return shipping out of their pocket with tracking or YOU purchase return shipping with tracking. In this case you can issue a refund minus initial shipping charges once the item arrive back to you within 2-3 business days.

Very well said!
The only thing i would consider adding would be to offer them to ship it back to you (Before initiating the return request on their end) and when you get it back you will refund them the purchase price. (Minus the shipping and handling). They provide the shipping label and cost back to you. Ask for the tracking number as well and only communicate through Ebay messages.
Some customers are reasonable and will understand that while others may want to take advantage of the system.
