So why didn't you open a not as described case, that would have settled the whole matter. Whether the seller got the game back or not, you would have got a full refund, and they would have gotten a demerit.

You need to return the game to get a refund.

Some sellers just refund it with out accepting a return and why would I want to return something that’s fraudulent if it can be sold again

Reach out to eBay and mention how the seller was asking you to change the review for a refund. That might get eBay's attention and force the refund. For future reference, never destroy/discard any item, regardless of authenticity for circuntances similar to this.
Good luck.

It seems like you've skipped what should, IMHO, be required reading for both buyers and sellers.
When you receive an item that's not as described, you go to the Resolution Center and open an item not as described case. If you are required to return the item, the seller has to either send you a prepaid return label or reimburse you in advance for the return shipping.
Destroying the item may hamper your eligibility for a refund, although the seller's attempted FB extortion may save you.
In the future, no matter what condition the item is in, you can't just make up the rules and expect a refund.
How does eBay know you received a fake game and destroyed it?

If you destroyed it, how does anyone, including the seller (and buyers), know that it was a fake Nintendo DS game? Not saying it wasn't, of course. I don't like fake games competing with real ones.

I’m going through the same thing right now. Destroying it seems like a good option to me after maybe taking some pictures to prove it’s fake . Sending it back is absolutely not an option in my opinion. It’s illegal to sell fakes. Why would I give it back so you can just trick somebody else. I understand the confusion because there’s no option other than requesting a return. Why can’t you simply demand (or request) a refund?

You sure have left a lot of bad feedback for people. You even left a neutral feedback when USPS lost the package which isn't the fault of the seller at all.

You are free to make the decision that you feel is best for you, but it's either/or.
If you don't want to ship it back, you aren't likely to get a refund.
Imagine if all a person had to do was to claim the item is fake and they get a refund without returning the item. Everything sold here would turn out to be fake.
