Hi everyone! Thanks for joining us for the Weekly Chat with eBay Staff. We don't have a specific topic this week, so feel free to share any general buying or selling questions you may have.
The chat thread will remain open until 2 PM PT at which point we'll close it from additional responses. After that time, we'll continue to work on responding to any queries that might still be unanswered.
To post your question, click Reply in the lower right corner of this post, type your question, and hit submit between 1-2 PM Pacific Time. The format of our chat mirrors the format of our Community Discussion Boards, where each post will appear in the thread chronologically. The Community Team will review each question as it comes in, and will quote the original question in our reply. This quote and the reply will appear later in the thread, so just keep scrolling down to see our answers.
Missed the chat? Send your questions to the podcast by calling 888-723-4630 or email us at podcast@ebay.com and maybe your questions will make it on the air! Or listen to past episodes while you wait for next Wednesday!

Just following up on if eBay has a plan on fixing the shipping system they are making sellers beta test? Basically every commercial address is being marked as residential. This is costing me a lot of money and is going to cause at least one of my buyers a problem eventually.

Product reviews should only review the product, AND not the seller.
Hi @krazzykats - we agree with you! We review and remove product reviews that are inappropriate or otherwise not related to the product (including reviews of a seller of those products). You can report violations by clicking the 'Report' link in the content in question. That will get it to the right team to review and take action.
Thanks!

I have an issue I need help with. One of my eBay buyers opened a return for two items that they purchased together. As I was creating a label the Buyers account was suspended by eBay and I could not upload my single return label. I don't know the reason for the suspension. I was told by Anchor Support that I should do nothing and the return will time out with no negative effects on my account. Three days later eBay bot generates TWO USPS labels and emails the labels to the now-suspended customer. The customer has now shipped back the items and they are due to be delivered today. How is a return being facilitated by eBay for a seller who has been suspended? John Norman Max Optical

I have a quesiton on Partial refund offers. If a return label is due by Tuesday but on Monday I make a offer to refund 50 percent of the purchase and the customer keeps the item. Do I still need to upload the return label by Tuesday or do I wait until the buyer accepts or declines my offer? I have spoken to several Anchor Support reps with no answers.
Thanks,
John Norman

I am new seller. Where in listing can I put in that the correct ship to address is the responsibility of the buyer?
@slowturtlesrun welcome to selling on eBay! It's not necessary to include this in your listing since eBay already considers it the buyers responsibility to provide the correct address at checkout, so sellers are protected as long as tracking shows the item is delivered to the address the buyer provided.

I'm fine with the way this transaction ended, just a little surprised, and trying to understand what exactly happened here: ( I'm making up some of the numbers, don't recall exact amounts) Buyer made an offer of $9.00, I declined, buyer made another offer, of $10.00 I countered with $12.95, buyer countered my counter-offer with $11.50, and I declined his $11.50 counteroffer. I figured that would be the end of it, but he came back the next day and bought the item at my counter offer price. Now, I would have thought once he had countered my $12.95, with his $11.50, which I declined, that would have cancelled out my $12.95 counter. So, just trying to understand.
If he had declined my $12.95 counter, that would have been the end of it, right? But since he countered, even though I declined his counter, he could go back to my original counter-offer and accept it?

I am less than 30 days on Managed Payments. If a customer returns an item that was purchased while I was on Paypal, will the refund come from Managed Payments or Paypal?
I have spoke to several Anchor Store reps with no answers.

Thanks for clarifying. What do you do in this situation: Accepted buyers offer, then when I google the ship to address and it is on a rural road with two houses on it? Obviously a scam. Do you message them back and ask to confirm the nearest cross street or what would you do?

SEPTEMBER UPDATE ON JUST ONE COMMON COUNTERFEIT SPORTS CARD I UPDATED EBAY ABOUT ONE MONTH AGO. ”Patrick Mahomes Cracked Ice Auto” # 20 of 25.
”Patrick Mahomes Cracked Ice Auto” # 20 of 25. All # 20 of 25. Entering September 2020, 290 copies of this same # 20 of 25 have been sold on eBay. Highest sale to date over $ 700 and 43 reprints having sold for over $ 100.00 from April 2020 until Aug 2020.
In the month of September, another 65 of this same counterfeit # 20 of 25 were sold on eBay. A worthless counterfeit sold 65 times in one month, and 10 of those sold for more than $ 100.00.
The Patrick Mahomes 2017 Panini RC Optic Contenders Auto Reprint, # 103 is approaching over 1000 counterfeits sold on eBay since April.
eBay does have huge issues with sellers selling reprinted (or RP) sports cards that are counterfeited, unauthorized copies.
eBay stated a month ago that they would look into this, and sadly more eBay members have been scammed.
In all if I look at “Patrick Mahomes auto reprint” and “Patrick Mahomes auto RP” as searches in eBay, I find currently 106 counterfeit listing (all against eBay policy), and another total 167 listings (~ 197 cards) counterfeits sold in September.
I will update you again October 1 st. In the meantime, how do I contact eBay’s compliance office and eBay’s legal department regarding this issue? Can you please provide contact information. Thank You.
