Hi Sellers,
As the holiday season approaches, we know you are looking to optimize performance in any way you can. To help with these efforts, eBay has launched the Volume Pricing tool. This tool enables promotional discounts for buyers that purchase two or more of the same item. Those that have taken advantage of this new capability have already driven significant increases to order size. In some cases, where sellers have been able to offer combined shipping, sales margin has also seen an improvement.
So how can you take advantage? Sellers can begin incentivizing buyers to purchase in greater quantities today. The Volume Pricing tool can be accessed via the marketing tab in Seller Hub.
To make things even sweeter, we are running a *promotion (through November 22nd) for sellers that enable volume pricing discounts on their listings. For every incremental purchase made through volume pricing, we will give you a 50% discount on final value fees.
Join the conversation below from 1-2 pm Pacific on Oct. 31st. We would love to hear about how you plan to incorporate Volume Pricing discounts into your strategy this holiday season.
Thank you!

Would be nice to edit a campaign. Add more item numbers to it or adjust some rates. Limited control so far hopefully more gets added.

@ritasloft wrote:Hi alan@ebay and team! Thanks for this opportunity to ask a few questions about the new Volume Pricing Discount.
- When VPD was originally rolled-out it was supported via csv file upload
QUESTION: Could the .csv file upload capability be reopened? The new UI looks great, but it’s already missing functionality.- The original launch included amount pricing discounts in addition to percentage discounts.
QUESTION: Will the amount discounts soon be reinstated?- When volume discounts are applied to an item, the discount (last I checked) does not appear in search results.
QUESTION: Will search teasers be implemented so buyers will be notified in search before clicking through to the item?- Volume pricing discounts don’t show in store home pages.
QUESTION: Will store home pages feature volume discounts (and other promotions)? This seems like a significant missing feature functionality. I am trying to drive traffic to my store page through social media but no visitor will know I am running any promotions without it displaying on my store page.
I love all these questions, but especially #3. Why doesn't it show a sale on a particular item similar to how if we use the Markdown Manager to run a sale?

Will we see a tiered pricing discount option for shipping promotions? Are there plans to promote volume discounts in search results the way other promos are shown?
In short, we are exploring both of these enhancements. Our goal with this first iteration was to get it in the hands of our sellers and begin capturing feature requests as they began to use it. We will continue to support this tool in 2019 with the requests that are coming our way.
Thanks.

I wonder if someone has set up a VPD that is working and if so, will you give me enough information that I can find one of your listings so I know what itis supposed to look like?

On the .csv uploads (and amount discounts), I realize these were only out for a couple weeks before they were changed.
However I spent a somewhat significant amount of time working with a few products and enlisted the help of a colleague to load product COGS, margin, and shipping cost data into an Excel sheet in order to calculate the volume pricing discounts I wanted and have them exported into the .csv file format eBay originally used.
It can be frustrating when features are rolled-out by eBay, then pulled back without any notice, communication, or explanation. Just like what happened with this Volume Pricing roll-out (and it wasn't described as a test, if it had I"d not have wasted effort on it).

This works across multiple SKUs/listings, but how is that displayed to the buyer?Listing 1 has blue t-shirts - qty 1Listing 2 has red t-shirts - qty 2Listing 3 has white t-shirts - qty 6How will the buyer know they can get a greater discount by purchasing 4 items across different listings? I haven't seen a volume discount that has a link to see other items - does that exist?
For the time being we are managing the treatment in-listing but are definitely open to exploring how to optimize the experience for buyers that are interested in purchasing across multi-item offerings.
Thanks for the suggestion.

Thank you. Please make a note in the builder tool so that others do not pull their hair out and tie up your support call center trying to figure this out.
Also, we need to be able to build our own qty levels for the discounts. It would be nice to add more qty levels as well.
— somthing we are definitely working on. Look for these enhancements in 2019.
Thanks.

Translation: currently there is no way for buyers to have visibility? Please confirm if that's correct so I can manage my promotions accordingly.

Hello Everyone,
I'm so excited that we are talking about this today. IMHO this is the BEST sales tool that Ebay has given sellers since Variation listings. I look forward to learning more about this awesome feature and offering up some suggestions to hopefully make it even better and easier to use in the future. But I wanted to start off by saying THANK YOU for this tool. I just love it. And an extra even bigger THANK YOU for the 50% off FVF promo.
Love the enthusiasm! 🙂 Our sellers have been asking for this tool for quite some time. We are happy that we could finally deliver it.
Thanks.
