For a few weeks now, the "bell" at the top of the community pages hasn't been working for me. No alerts, no nothing. Glitch? Or....? (The bell works on regular ebay pages, just not the community pages)
Hi @my-cottage-books-and-antiques,
This is a known issue with the Community platform. doug@ebay is working closely with eBay IT to have this problem resolved as soon as possible. It is a priority for us, so we're hoping that the fix is with us soon.
Hope this helps!
Thank you.

An intermittent Seller Hub problem: In the "tasks" box, ebay is supposed to tell me when I have items to ship. And it does that OK.
But then ebay also breaks it down:x number need to be shipped, and y number need to be shipped within 24 hours. (I have one day handling) This second number is wrong more often than it is right. eBay is telling me, just making up an example, that only 2 of 5 items need to be shipped today...when , in fact, all 5 need to be shipped today. Fortunately, I am pretty good at making sure I don't miss something that needs to be shipped --- but given that ebay "scores" us on shipping within our time frames, I think I should be able to rely on the info provided by ebay in Seller Hub. Unfortunately, I can't, which makes it kind of useless, and even dangerous , because if I took eBay's word for it, I'd be shipping stuff late quite often. Is eBay aware of this problem? Are they going to fix it?
Hi @my-cottage-books-and-antiques - we definitely don't want you to get misled. I don't see any pending tasks at the moment that I can send for review, but would definitely like to get some screenshots so I can get it to the Seller Hub team. I'll reach out to you via email so you can let me know as more tasks are displayed. Thanks!

Good afternoon everyone.
I was recently on a thread which was discussing some of the more current policy changes by Ebay. We got into a discussion about the Service Metrics and some very experience sellers were not aware of the minimum 10 rule. Which brought up an old subject I've brought up a few times.
Ebay expects sellers to always be aware of the current rules that govern the site. But in some cases Ebay works against us in this goal by changing policies with zero notification to sellers. Which the change in the Service Metric rules that happened since the Seller Update that notified us of this new policy. In Ebay initial notification to us about this program, it did not say anything about each seller must have a minimum of 10 SNADs in any given category in the eval period BEFORE the Service Metrics would kick in for comparison to our Peers and the potential penalty fee.
A very important change to many as this gives some real breathing room to small sellers.
So here is my repeated suggestion that I think solves this issue and many others. IMHO Ebay should create an exception report on changes, additions and deletions of ANY policy in a given period. Let's say a once a month email. If Ebay would do this, I think it would build more confidence between Ebay and sellers as well as keeping us informed. It is always disturbing to run accross a change, especially those of an important issue. Or to be speaking on a thread trying to help another member only to find out that what you are saying has been changed or no longer applies.
This creates frustrations with Ebay that just don't need to be there. We are held to the rules but Ebay far too often makes a change that is NOT relayed to us in any way. We are left to discover them on our own, which really isn't acceptable since we are responsible to adhere to these rules. Sometimes rules that we know nothing about since Ebay has not kept us informed.
So an exceptions report would solve this problem entirely and IMHO promote a healthier and happier community.

Users of the EBay app are now being forced into "Good Til Cancelled" for buy it now. Your IOS and Android app boards have literally hundreds of people telling you how this negatively impacts their selling experience. As a store owner, I (and the hundreds of other users on your boards) want control over our listings. The decision of when, and whether, to relist should be mine - NOT something EBay forces me into for the privilege of using my phone as a tool. The workaround - "well, just use your PC" - is not acceptable. On listings that I do choose to relist, you guessed it - it has to be done from the PC to avoid an automatic conversion to GTC. Want to add another picture, or add to the description? Back to the PC. Want to lower the price or add alternate shipping? PC. Want to list a newly sourced item while in the field - then you have to accept GTC, or wait until you are back at the PC.
This doesnt include other annoyances in this update - no, I don't want easy pricing to automatically reduce my price, and I may or may not want offers - but at least I can turn these off each time.
Worse, there was no announcement or warning of these changes - many sellers have burned some of their finite listings because without knowing (because you didn't tell them) they listed items as GTC that might be seasonal, an item that was on its last run, exploratory, etc. So here's my deal. I opened an Amazon seller account yesterday. My question is - are you going to listen to the overwhelming voice of your users, or do I need to move my store? I speak for a lot of sellers in being upset. Please have your reply also address the lack of communication on this issue. This was a major change and not communicated
Hi @dgn5009, thank you for sharing this feedback about the app! Good Til Cancelled is currently the only duration available through the app and this is by design. The reasoning behind this is that we've found longer durations generally have more benefits. The mobile team has engaged on the boards here and mentioned some of those benefits. With that said, we have been passing feedback over to the mobile team and they are reviewing it as they consider future updates.

Could one of your ebay team take a look at this thread on powerseller's board and offer up an explaination for it?
I for one would greatly appreciate it.

Hi @mam98031, I love this idea for improving communication with our sellers and will be happy to pass this along for consideration. We do have a variety of regular emails that go out and I think adding this kind of information or creating a new repeating email would really provide some benefit! Thanks for the feedback

Used my ebay shipping supply coupon to buy, among other things, some envelopes. They came in this ebay branded box. LOVE this size box. Could really use some. Obviously, the company can brand these boxes, so how about adding them to the inventory available to us through our coupon?

Agree!!, I use the iPad to re-list or "sell similar" and takes me double the amount of time as before to list an item because now I have to remove all the options I don't want. Why cant they have all the options off and then I can check them if I want ... The other thing that I see is that when I list on my PC, using "sell similar" the Gallery plus gets checked by it self, specially if I change the category, then I uncheck it, but sometimes it charges me the $1 anyway... Again, everything should be checked off, let me choose the options that work for me!! And I Love Ebay… but I can't keep working double time

You're not wrong @my-cottage-books-and-antiques - that's a great call out and a good suggestion. I'll make sure to let the supplies team know that you're interested in seeing these available!
