Just a little update to the Media Mail issue some of us have.  Not being able to create shipping labels using MM in some categories.  

 

For me, it is the following categories.

 

Crafts-Beads&Jewelry Making-Instruction Books & Media

 

Crafts-Sewing-Quilting-Quilt Patterns

 

Crafts- Needlecrafts&Yarn-Crocheting&Knitting-Patterns-Contemporary

 

Crafts- Needlecrafts&Yarn-Embroidery&Cross Stitch-Hand Embr Patterns & Magazines-Other Patterns & Magazines

I have literally been chasing this for SEVERAL months, since they started messing with the categories that MM is allowed.  To date I keep getting promised they will fix it and to date I'm still where we started.  NO RESOLUTION at all.

We continue to experience issues that I believe are related to the category changes, the most challenging being that we are still not able to edit multi-variation listings. I have asked this question multiple times of multiple people in multiple locations and have not received an answer. Is there any way to know whether multi-variation listings are supported in any of the eBay Motors/Parts & Accessories categories?

I haven't receive any emails from the community team about the duplicate listings like I was told. I can't post proof or send emails to you. I'm seeing listings, auctions and fixed price both with the same exact heading, alot are different items but the titles are the same, others are numerous duplication.

 10 buy it now's with heading saying "gadget widget that you want" (example not exact), bunch are different color items or the same color and size item. Now if I listed a duplicate listing, it gets kicked out or it use to.

 Same with auctions, duplicate's are allow once the 1st one gets a bid on it, yet I'm seeing a ton with no bids. The niche I sell in is FLOODED with duplicate listings, just looking for a fair selling format.

Please send me a email and I can provide proof, reporting them thru listing or by phone is useless

Will 2021 eBay 1099-K forms be correct? In 2020, the

 

amount paid = sale price - fees

 

was recorded in the accounting system. The total sale price matched the 1099-K amount.

This year, a few items sold on the eBay.de and ebay.uk sites. Sale price and were posted in Euros and British Pounds. How can eBay possibly expect to sum sale prices in the 2021 1099-K report with foreign currencies are mixed in? Will eBay go back and use the conversion factor posted in the Payments Transaction log? If so, why not share the dollar amount with sellers? Sales in Euros or Pounds may slightly lower the reported 1099-K amount, but Canadian or Australian dollar sales result in a reported amounts higher than actual sales in 1099-K form. Foreign currencies are posted of offshore eBay sites, as documented in eBay help, but does anyone at eBay understand the potential consequences. Will eBay recalculate inaccurate 1099-K forms if requested by affected sellers?

 

I raised this issue last week but received no response. While on the topic, it should be noted that not all foreign currency amounts in Payments Transaction Reports are flagged as such.

Relative to the community problems........is there any effort being made to reinstate "jump to last read" instead of "jump to last".    for this board and the selling board........

Hey @tsme35! I know a few emails have already been sent your way but they won't be going to your eBay messages. They were sent to your registered email address for your eBay account. You'll want to check that email addresses inbox. If you don't see them, take a look at the junk folder as your email provider could've sent them there.

Thanks. On that note, sheila@ebay , is there someone specific who reports to you on progress on this case, or... how does that work?

 

As you know, this affects everyone on the Community platform (especially those of us trying to help users with problems), and we're here every Wednesday at this same time, so they should be aware that getting you a status by Wednesday morning will be helpful.

 

This is especially true if they're stuck on something, as there are more than a few IT professionals out here who would be happy to help with troubleshooting or testing if someone behind the eBay/Khoros wall would simply ask for it. This has been going on for far too long with no visible progress; someone there should be asking for help by now, but does not appear to be receiving any.

No @tsme35, they're referring to the blue blobs for avatars and things like that on the Community platform.

 

How are you viewing your account when you don't see all of the items in your store though? If on the app, I heard a few complaints about this, and they weren't on the most up to date version. Both on the website and app, you should see some of the listings and then at the bottom of the screen, a "See all" blue button.

Hi @mam98031 - I've been looking into this but am having a hard time getting a definitive answer. 

 

Based on the 2020 Spring Seller Update, I believe a seller would need to reply to the request within the 3 business days even if the shipping label was from an integrated carrier and purchased via eBay Labels. We made an announcement on that in June of last year (link here). 

 

I've requested confirmation just to be certain, but from what I'm seeing here I'd always recommend replying to the request with the tracking information.

New Item Specifics Jewelry with NO stones has 14  recommended IS all related to WITH stones jewelry. When the "Main Stone" specific is set to "No stone" the (approx.) 14 separate stone related IS fields or selections need to be grayed out and not "recommended" by the system as shown in seller hub.

 

The new fall update recommended items specifics in the jewelry categories is causing me and others (probably hundreds of thousands of listings) a great deal of grief and waisted time and lack of clarity. I am hoping eBay can get something done about this problem. I have already left feedback on the listing tool pages but have seen no changes and gotten no responses.  Is a fix for this in the works?  We need to get it on the radar!



The problem comes with jewelry with NO gemstones. There used to be separate categories for precious metal with and without gemstones. That has all now been combined into a single category for most all of the remaining jewelry categories. Now with these changes I can NEVER tell if I am done updating a listing because I don't and should not fill in any of the gemstone related fields!  And i don't want to put "N/A" in each one as this created a huge amount of clutter and extra work. Plus I have to wade through 14 or more item specifics ALL of which would never apply if there was no gemstone in the piece.  Plus plus, they are not grouped together but spread all throughout the IS section instead of grouped together in a "with stone" section.



There needs to be a toggle that when "Main Stone" specific is set to "No stone",  ALL the gemstone and diamond IS fields are not shown and not marked as recommended. They should be greyed out or  hidden.  I could tell the listing tool "not to remind me again" but even doing that requires going through a lot of extra un-needed busy work.  Maybe if the recommended count is exactly 14?  But that is just silly and inaccurate.  There needs to be an official way to block the stone specifics. 

 

The loss of the "with" and "without" gemstone sub-categories has caused this huge problem and I don't feel it was thought through before it was implemented. How many thousands of jewelry sellers are struggling with or just ignoring other important specifics so they don't have to figure out what color the diamond is in their ring with NO stone? I am strongly suggesting that we get something done about this soon.
