Looking for advise,
Customer selected local pickup, then wants me to ship the item out, however I do not offer free shopping. I emailed and explained, but they will not reply and are several states away, with no plan to pick up the item. What do I do?

With the due date rapidly approaching will the MP team start doing separate weekly chats to help answer questions people have?

Hi @midstateequipmentco, you can cancel the transaction with the "problem with buyers address" reason. After, relist the item and send a message to the buyer with the new item number and explain that they need to select a shipping method. You may also want to consider removing local pickup from the listing.

I know the community had an update last night.  This morning I had a few email notifications of posts to various threads I've been following, but they were very hit and miss.  Then a couple hours ago [maybe a little more] they stopped all together.  Any information on this issue?

You have repeatedly told us that eBay chooses to compute Estimated Delivery Date based on a seller's normal handling time, regardless of the handling time specified in the listing.
A CS person told me last week: that is only if Guaranteed Delivery is turned on. So, if a seller needs to expand handling time for some reason, and turns GD off at the same time, eBay will observe the set handling time.

Is that true?

Hi @gwzcomps - we've made that request several times, and currently there are no plans for that to occur.

We'll pass that along again!

@mam98031 No new info yet. The Khoros team is aware and looking into it though 🙂

If sellers that have been told they are going into MP in July would complete the Pre-registration process, which literally takes about 60 seconds, then they could come and ask to get permission to be given access to the MP Payment board.

All you need for the pre-registration is your SSN and the bank info [acct # and routing #] for the checking account you want to attach to MP.

Another note, just because you pre-register does not immediately put you into MP.  That won't happen until July.  And the pre registration process is just that "pre".  There will me more info Ebay wants later once they review the information from our pre registration info.

Re: Community Chat, May 27 @ 1:00 pm PT - General Topics

I am curious if it is possible to get any info on the future of selling on eBay.  eBay consistently sends mixed messages on how we are partners and how they value small businesses.  The policies continue to prove otherwise.  eBay is no longer the place to be as there is another "Marketplace" buyers seem to be going to, to fulfill their used and unique item desires.  That opinion comes from more than personal experience, but from the other boards and forums I am on.  With the most common comments being it is easier to buy and sell on with less scams.  Is it safe to assume eBay will continue to alienate its original market to chase and copy other more successful platforms that are in a different field?  As much as I have mixed feelings about eBay there is a part of me that would prefer to see the company succeed.

Re: Community Chat, May 27 @ 1:00 pm PT - General Topics

On May 6 I asked a question:

"I have a question about Top Rated Sellers protection.

When you report buyer for expecting something about item which isn't in the listing or even described apposite way in the description it is easy to get your return shipping fee credit BUT nobody remove seller performance metrics for item not as described. There is no way to appeal and it is not make any sense, you gave us credit but do not remove metrics and CSR can do nothing about it. How to get that one changed?"

I got a promise to get some help but nothing happened. Nobody contact me and nothing change at my metrics. Is there any help, please?

Hi @vrykalak, nothing has changed about how the estimated delivery date is calculated; this still takes into account the shipping service selected, the locations of the buyer and the seller, and historical shipping data.
