I wish I could tell you what search term she was using but I can't as I don't know what she was using. Any way she went and purchased what she wanted elsewhere. (different platform).
Here is one I am searching for and am seeing results for other years (past years - 2017, 2018, etc.) I am looking for 2019 and that is what I have include in the search bar. Here are the words in the search bar "turbotax home business 2019". These outdated versions are coming up under "results matching fewer words". This may be some of the confusion that is happening with the search engine. What is the logic behind bringing up suggestions that have no real meaning to what a person is searching for?

Thanks Tyler.
One thing you might mention to the team...calling it "High Priced Sponsored Results" doesn't seem like smart marketing. I suspect most buyers see that and figure : "But I don't want stuff that is priced too high"....(I realize it doesn't man it is TOO high, but I think a lot of buyers will interpret it that way, don't you?)
Thanks @my-cottage-books-and-antiques - I thought that was odd too. Not sure if that's related specifically to the filter that was applied (sorting High to Low), but in either case I think there's an opportunity to be clearer for sure. 🙂

I just paid for an auction I won. The email displayed as one I have never seen before. I got it corrected. But would like to avoid any future complications. How did this happen and is it an eBay problem with hacking or is it a PayPal issue?
Thanks.
Hi @nc-daydreamer, I apologize but I'm not quite sure which email you are talking about. Do you mean the email that is being shown on your account, for your PayPal account, or an email from eBay about this purchase? If you can give me a little more detail I'll be happy to look into this further. If the chat has ended by the time you read this, feel free to start a thread and @mention a member of the team to review.

My competitor opened a second eBay Anchor store and list the same 4000 items under both eBay names. I purchase the same item from both eBay accounts to show you they are the same company. Exact same item, exact same ship from address, exact same paypal address, exact same eBay selling template. The only difference is the new eBay seller name. This is a clear violation of the eBay duplicate listing policy.
I have supplied all of these documents to eBay several times now over the last few months. I know eBay can not discuss other accounts but we can see results.
To date both of these accounts are up and running with the same items. This is cutting my exposure on the ebay platform as those coveted top search spots are now split between 3 eBay accounts.
Please help me..
Thanks for sharing your update on this, @maxoptical. I know you've brought this up in recent chats and it's something we've sent over for review. We aren't able to discuss account specifics or the actions taken on other accounts, but I can assure you that the appropriate team has received the report for review. Thanks!

Because you were shown an email that was in a different format certainly would not mean Ebay has been hacked. Ebay changes things on a regular basis around here. So hard to keep up on things. But was there something in the Email or about the email or said in the email that made you feel that was an issue of this size? That certainly would be cause for concern.

I would prefer to suggest a more overall friendlier term - like Featured Listing? Sounds classier in my opinion. Any chance of this? People don't like the word Sponsored - makes them think of a commercial. The kind where you refuse to look at it by heading to the kitchen instead in the middle of the show... 🙂

Hi @greg213213, thanks for sharing this example! This is working as designed. Search will return as many results as possible that match the terms you've entered. If there aren't enough results that exactly match the terms, then Search will return results that have fewer words that match the terms you've entered.

One more attempt to get a response before the hour is up. -
Hello, I am wondering what to make of this. A potential buyer from Indonesia is asking for me to send 2 - 30 pound folding bicycles to China. The exact request reads -
"Would you ship it to Singapore?
I will pay the shipping cost and any extra cost
thanks
harry "
My listing states 'local pickup' and no mention of shipping (anywhere, to any location let alone China)
I suppose this buyer who has been a member for less than 11 months with 20 all positive feedback, could be on the up and up. But sending $700 worth of vintage bicycles, is this a good idea? As I write this message my gut tells me no. Not worth all the potential issues that could arise.
Thanks to anyone for your thoughts - good or bad.
Hi @cortezer - oh wow, those bikes are lovely, I can see why someone would be so interested in them!
I don't think there's anything ominous about being asked if you'd ship to their location, especially if you've got such a unique collectible like those two (truth be told I've done something similar in the past with an antique dresser).
However, I don't want you to do anything that you're not comfortable doing. It sounds like your listing is clear: you only want to sell these with local pickup. Packaging those for travel, much less international travel, would be a headache and nervewracking.
If you do choose to sell to them, there are methods that you could consider using that may be worth checking out. The Global Shipping Program may be a good way to limit your risk and also help them get their item (though these bikes may not meet the weight/dimensions requirements). Consider checking it out!
