Another Coded Coupon question. I know a Coded Coupon cannot be used by the buyer for an item sold with Best Offer or Seller Initiated Offer. But what about is I'm running a markdown Manager or other sale? Can the buyer use a coded coupon to further reduce the price? The terms and conditions say this:
"The Coupon cannot be combined with any other Coupon, site discount, rebate, promotion, or when paying with PayPal Easy Payments or Gift Cards"
Can you CONFIRM that the word "promotion" there includes Markdown Manager and other promotions in Store's Promotions Manager?

This is a huge RED FLAG .
The stamps may be counterfeit.

(Sorry, this should have been two posts)
I really like the new packing slip, BUT.....
It can be customized to include the "Custom Label field", which is great, because I do the all the shipping for my account and spouse's account. We both use the Custom label field to identify the location of items in our inventory (Box # so and so, etc). So, I can just look at the packing slips and know where to go to pull items for shipping. That's great! Love it!
But there's the thing. I'd really like to have a field where I could input other information as well, such as price paid, date purchased, etc. So, a suggestion for Harry's team (or whoever handles this stuff): How about having a "Location Field" strictly for inventory location info (and use that field on the packing slip) and have another "Custom Label Field" where each seller could include other information. Because clearly I don't want to send that info to my buyers.
Please pass this on to the appropriate team. I think it would be a real benefit for us sellers.
In yesterday's podcast Harry Temkin mentioned that "When we look at the data and remember that the vast majority of your buyers are on mobile and on mobile, the description is already basically a snippet of your full description and it's in a normalized font set and font color on mobile. So all that formatting doesn't appear there and it requires the buyer to click on the description to get to your full description. So the key is really the top of the description. That core component is what is visible as the default on native. And then they have to click into it. And the vast majority of buyers actually don't do that secondary click."
So this appears to confirm two things I've been guessing : 1. Most buyers are now using Mobile, AND "the vast majority of buyers" do not click through to the full description when using Mobile, they see ONLY the truncated description Mobile provides. So, OK, it is good to now know that my suspicion was correct. What troubles me is, Harry doesn't seem to view this as a problem to be solved, it's just a simple fact. I try to keep my descriptions short, but with antiques, collectibles, etc, especially some of the more obscure items, a longer description can really make a difference. Photos don't always tell the story as to why something is significant. So, I'd really like to suggest that Harry should work on either lengthening the allowable length of the "snippet", or finding a way to incent buyers to read the entire description.
Again, just asking you to pass this on.

Yesterday I had an email from ebay about Coded Coupons. One thing it mentioned was that I could now send a coded coupon along with a Seller Initiated Offer. It provided a link to this page about Coded Coupons: https://cloud.forbusiness.ebay.com/coded_coupons?&o=m&s=43188296460
But no where on that page, or anywhere else, have I been able to find just how I'm supposed to send the coupon to my buyer when I create the offer. From the description of this new feature provided at the recent ebay Developers Conference, it does not sound like I just stick the code in the coupon message area.
Any information on this new feature? Or has it not actually rolled out to everyone just yet?

A suggestion , please pass on to the appropriate team: I've been printing a coded coupon on my packing slips. The coupon is usually for a relatively short term. I'm thinking of extending the term, but I 'd like to see ebay add another feature: have the coupon explain how a buyer can "follow" a seller (and/or subscribe to the seller's store newsletter)---this way, if I list something the buyer is interested in, he'll see it in his watched seller list/favorites page...AND....in the favorite seller list, include a reminder, something like "You have a coupon from this seller, expiration date is...."Thanks for passing this on!
@my-cottage-books-and-antiques I really like this idea! I'll be sure to pass it along to the right team 🙂

I've seen it done by some sellers that need to boost their FB number. Either because they are a newer seller or because they are trying to dilute negative FB impact.

I had a sale the other day and the shipping carrier did not show up, such as Priority Mail or UPS. How is a seller supposed to know how the customer wants their order shipped if it doesn't show the seller or is this another GLITCH?
Thank you.

Hi @mcw1627jed - there is not a price restriction on what a member chooses to list stamps for. If you have reason to believe that the listing a seller has made is not genuine or is breaking an eBay policy please use the 'report this item' link to ensure it is reviewed by the appropriate team.
Thanks!

Of Course this is the likely case. Now you can buy rolls for under $9.00 with free shipping ,when they was selling for about 4 times that not long ago.
And we are talking about thousands of rolls.

Hi Team, thanks for your help today.
I want to use my pending funds to pay for eBay shipping. I ship with USPS on eBay.com, but my funds are being converted into Canadian dollars because I live in Canada.
Some wonderful people in the forum have tried to trouble shoot this for me, and my screen doesn't look like theirs. It's telling me I can only pay for labels with Paypal, and gives me no option to pay with my pending funds.
My question to you is, is the reason I can't use my pending funds to pay for eBay labels because eBay labels are in USD and my funds are in Canadian dollars?
Thank you,
C.
