@mcw1627jed wrote:How can you explain the large amounts of Forever Stamps being sold on Ebay at a slight Fraction of face value within the last month?
This is a huge RED FLAG .
About 18 mos ago I bought some Forever Stamps on eBay that were only discounted slightly. I bought them on ebay for the convenience of not having to go to the PO. Right after I got them, Amazon stopped selling stamps because of all the counterfeiting. I looked up how to tell counterfeits and, sure enough, the ones I had bought were counterfeit. I then had an accident and was laid up for a couple of months and never did anything about it.

An option allowing buyers to specify a deferred ship date is needed. One of my regular auction buyers used to move twice each year. The buyer requested deferred shipping to avoid missing deliveries while moving. If the item were mailed to the old address, it could be delayed for weeks even if forwarded to the new address. If the item arrived at the new address before the buyer, it might be forwarded to the old address and lost. Why should eBay ding sellers for following buyer instructions? What is more important, eBay rules or buyer satisfaction?
Auction sales of one-of-a-kind items cannot be cancelled and recreated later. Most shipping companies know that early arrival can have consequences comparable to late arrival. Some shipping companies can arrange to hold packages for buyers. While the US Postal service can hold mail, if requested in advance, results can be random. Does eBay not understand that deferring shipping may be is important to some buyers and could help avoid lost items?
Please add options to the eBay web site that allow buyers to defer shipping.

Yesterday I had an email from ebay about Coded Coupons. One thing it mentioned was that I could now send a coded coupon along with a Seller Initiated Offer. It provided a link to this page about Coded Coupons: https://cloud.forbusiness.ebay.com/coded_coupons?&o=m&s=43188296460
But no where on that page, or anywhere else, have I been able to find just how I'm supposed to send the coupon to my buyer when I create the offer. From the description of this new feature provided at the recent ebay Developers Conference, it does not sound like I just stick the code in the coupon message area.
Any information on this new feature? Or has it not actually rolled out to everyone just yet?
Hi @my-cottage-books-and-antiques - I think that this is a new feature, because I'm unaware of it - though I am just getting back into the office this week (darn summertime colds!).
All my resources currently say that a Seller Initiated Offer will always supersede a coupon offer, so I'm inclined to believe that this is up and coming. I'll see if I can get more specifics and loop back with you!

Hi Tyler,
I've ordered two rolls to take to the PO when & If I get them.
And I am suggesting that who ever looks into fraud of Counterfeit listings should look into this.
We are talking about a major amount of listings & if I don't receive valid stamps most of the other listings will end up being the same way.

Another Coded Coupon question. I know a Coded Coupon cannot be used by the buyer for an item sold with Best Offer or Seller Initiated Offer. But what about is I'm running a markdown Manager or other sale? Can the buyer use a coded coupon to further reduce the price? The terms and conditions say this:
"The Coupon cannot be combined with any other Coupon, site discount, rebate, promotion, or when paying with PayPal Easy Payments or Gift Cards"Can you CONFIRM that the word "promotion" there includes Markdown Manager and other promotions in Store's Promotions Manager?
@my-cottage-books-and-antiques - Great question! If several promotions are running concurrently, buyers get the best discount; however, the coupons do stack with promotions created through markdown manager.

I had a sale the other day and the shipping carrier did not show up, such as Priority Mail or UPS. How is a seller supposed to know how the customer wants their order shipped if it doesn't show the seller or is this another GLITCH?
Thank you.
@greg213213 I apologize if I'm not understanding the question. It sounds like when you were trying to print a shipping label the system didn't specify which service the buyer selected at checkout. My understanding is that the first shipping service on the list is the one the buyer selected. If you could give me more details about what you're seeing then I'll be happy to take a closer look!

I had a sale a little while ago. Got the notification on my smart phone and the number beside my bell on my PC, but NO email in my regular email, where it usually appears. Checked my spam folder. Not there. Glitch?
@my-cottage-books-and-antiques - I haven't seen anything about a tech issue with email notifications. What date did you receive the notification on your phone? Is this the only notification you haven't received?

brittanie@ebay any update on the Funko Pop presale situation?
Many listings that are in violation are still active, including ones that also direct buyers offsite to the seller's Instagram and direct website.

The only thing that showed up on the transaction was the amount paid by the buyer, but no shipping carrier such as USPS Priority or UPS as those were options I had on the listing. I did speak with a CSR and he didn't know why that didn't show up either.

@clarkphilatelics I've seen this request come up several times over the years, so you're not alone in wanting this feature. I'll pass your suggestion along to the right team for consideration.
I do want to mention that if a buyer requests delayed shipping through the eBay message system then customer support can work with the seller to remove late shipment marks. The seller will need to contact customer support to have it reviewed though.

Hi Team, thanks for your help today.
I want to use my pending funds to pay for eBay shipping. I ship with USPS on eBay.com, but my funds are being converted into Canadian dollars because I live in Canada.
Some wonderful people in the forum have tried to trouble shoot this for me, and my screen doesn't look like theirs. It's telling me I can only pay for labels with Paypal, and gives me no option to pay with my pending funds.
My question to you is, is the reason I can't use my pending funds to pay for eBay labels because eBay labels are in USD and my funds are in Canadian dollars?
Thank you,
C.
Hi @sin-n-dex - very short answer: yes.
Longer answer: you can only use USD to purchase USPS postage, and there is not currently a way to exchange currencies from your payout currency to another. I've made this suggestion in the past and I'll keep my fingers crossed we see it as a future enhancement!

When eBay starts collecting VAT for the European Union on July 1st, I expect remaining offshore sales, already decimated by COVID to disappear. I do not believe that buyers will be able to compete with US buyers for lower priced items with US customers. Collectibles costing a few dollars will no longer be attractive to offshore buyers faced with the double whammy of VAT and the cost of tracked shipping. While technically not allowed, small lightweight items could be sent by First Class Mail International for a fraction of the cost of a First-Class Package International or various mail consolidation services. Will collecting VAT introduce new risks for items shipped "under the radar" by First Class Mail International?
One customer already complained about a consolidated shipment. Was a tariff added to the VAT because the customs label printed by the forwarder was not correctly interpreted?
Where was eBay when shipping merchandise by First Class Mail International from the US was prohibited?
Could eBay provide resources to help sellers fill out customs forms with correct HS codes?
How much business will be lost after July 1st? Does anyone at eBay care or have a plan to make it possible for sellers of lower priced items to continue selling internationally?

I want to second this, about deferred shipping. We've discussed this here before...there is no good reason ebay can't put something in the buyer-seller flow to confirm that the seller is holding off on shipping at the buyer's request. I want happy buyers, and I'm always willing to work with these types of requests, but to be dinged for doing what ebay surely realizes is the right thing, is very, very frustrating.
We WANT to provide good customer service. ebay should be working to make it easier, not harder.

Could you please point me to the documentation that explains exactly how eBay pays my monthly store subscription? I can't seem to find it.
This month I had to tap paypal funds to pay shipping because eBay takes "processing funds" as well as available funds.
How can I find the exact date eBay will be collecting my store fee? Last month it was the 18th, this month the 16th.
