That never happened before this year. What has changed?Hi @vrykalak, it's hard to say what may be happening without some examples for us to review. Do you have some item numbers we can take a look at so we can get a better idea of what's going on?

Good Luck Selling!
Hi @goodluckselling - the One Time Payment flow was moved to a new environment, that's a planned change.
However, you are still able to make partial payments by clicking beside the "payment amount" on the new landing page. It is not clear that you can do so, and we've given that feedback to the design team for a future enhancement as it should be more intuitive.
To your other question:
Autopay will only charge invoiced amounts. If you are invoiced $100, auto-pay will only bill that amount to your payment method, unless you've made one-time-payments to reduce that amount **
I hope that helps!
**If you make a one-time-payment within 7 days of your bill date there is a chance that it will not update in time, be aware!

After you select your payment option,
click the amount on the total line and you can change the amount you are paying there.
That's what I did yesterday when paying my eBay bill.
I do not have an options to click on the total line? The only option showing for me now is to click a blue button saying make a one time payment showing the running total (not the amount due)and the words - By Making a onetime payment, I authorize eBay to collect the specified amount from the selected payment method.

@tod184 wrote:My last refund for a return was early in the year and it was allo or nothing. Just the other day I received a request for return and needed to possible deduct some money from the refund and the only thing I saw was a button that said "issue refund" the same way it always looked. I didn't want to click on it because I did not know if the partial refund option would be there or not. I guess I will find out soon.
This happened to me just yesterday. A free returns item came back damaged by the buyer but the system did not show the option to send a less-than-full refund. Every other free return item has presented the option of sending a full refund- or refunding with a percent deducted. Of course the one time I needed to issue a partial the option was not there.

LOCAL PICK UP clarification
This is just a short note to clarify that on a sale with Local Pick up, once the purchase has been made it is okay to have both Buyer and Seller exchange personal information, address, phone number, etc. in eBay Messaging WITHOUT penalty to either party? Additionally, messages will not be blocked or censored by eBay correct?
If you were a big seller like you could have the contact info in your main listing photo.

Last week I mentioned that I have an ongoing issue with Concierge Customer support promising me on multiple occasions to take care of an issue. This dates back to Late April. I have been in contact with concierge support multiple times with promises made in April, May and June to take care of the problem and remove the offending marks from my record.
You promised that you would look into in last week and I have not heard back from anyone and the problem remains.
Did you look into it and is anyone going to get back to me (or take care of the issue as promised multiple times?)
Thanks!

Could the tweaking of this program have caused unintentional issues with assigning a credit card for my normal payment source of my monthly Ebay invoice. I've been trying off and on for a couple months now to change the CC on file, but it won't let me. The message says there is something wrong with my CC number, however it is just fine.

@creativecrisis wrote:Last week a buyer placed a large order using 12 separate buy-it-now transactions ... and then asked for combined shipping. I of course accommodated the customer, but ended up spending a LOT of time figuring out the combined shipping discount and then separately refunding her over-payments for shipping on each transaction. Not to mention, I lost money in eBay and PayPal nonrefundable fees on these transactions.
When I thanked her for her order, I suggested using the shopping cart next time so she can get her combined shipping discount at the time of purchase. Her response? That she buys on a mobile device and it doesn't allow her to request an invoice. (?) I assume the shopping cart works on the mobile platform and she was confused for some reason.
So, here's my question: Would eBay consider getting rid of the Buy It Now button on fixed price listings? Forcing all customers into the shopping cart would be less confusing for buyers and a great improvement for sellers like me who have frequent multi-item orders, rules set up to combine shipping automatically. This recent experience isn't the only time I've had customers use separate BIN transactions to order multiple items.
Hi @creativecrisis, I think I might need to look at the specific item numbers as examples. I'm seeing a bunch of your listings already offer a discount, so an invoice could not be requested since a discount is already being applied. Any combined shipping discounts you offer should automatically apply and a total would not need to be requested. From what you have described, it sounds like the buyer did not attempt to add multiple items to the cart to get a combined shipping discount and instead checked out one at a time.
We can pass along your feedback regarding the Buy It Now option, no problem. I do want to note that the option to checkout directly from the listing or to add items to a cart is standard across many online marketplaces so removing an option may lead to confusion. Definitely something we can look into further though for potential improvements.
@Anonymous
This displays on my single item listings. Note there is no mention of using the cart to have these discounts applied. Maybe a good start would be to add "when using the cart" ?

tyler@ebay wrote:Hi @Anonymous - there's a number of announced deals (items and categories) here, but that's the extent of what I've gotten so far. If I hear back any further info I'll make sure to let you know!
That page shows "hot deals for hot days" and the new "brand outlet", but none of those apply to the "crash sale" on the 15th. I guess eBay wants to keep it a secret.
All I could find for the crash sale was: LG, Apple, Samsung, KitchenAid, Garmin
That doesn't say much.

When I look at the Feedback page, I see about half of the items are marked as "Private" and the title of the item is not shown. Three questions:
1. I never deliberately mark anything as private. How does this happen?2. How do I find out which listings have this setting? How can I turn it off? I don't see anything on the bulk editing page.
3. Why would "Private" setting, which is supposed to keep buyer information private, cause the item title and listing number to be blocked?
Hi @vrykalak, the option to make a listing private is in the listing form itself. I've included a screenshot below of one of your listings:
You would need to uncheck this box for listings to not appear as private on your feedback profile.

They could make buy-it-now and add-to-cart buttons the same color. They could move the cart button above the buy-it-now button. I would like to see that.

Yes, I know it's there. But how did those get set in the first place>?
