Had a chance to post 100 auctions for free. For every item, I had to change Fixed Price to Auction (of course), then had to change the default 7 days to 10 days, and had to turn off Best Offer manually.
Request that when a Relist changes from Fixed Price to Auction, the Duration be set to 10 days as the default, and Best Offer turn off

Recently on a thread we were discussing the benefits of TRS and TRS Plus. And while I find it pretty easy to find an Ebay policy page on the Benefits of TRS+, I don't find it so easy for TRS.
Would someone please provide a link to the Ebay policy that outlines the Benefits of TRS [not TRS+]!
I know we get a boost in the search returns [Best match], $100 worth of insurance on PM mail and Commercial Plus rates for USPS FC Parcels, but beyond that is there anything?

Can you give us a heads up on a date if there will be another dedicated discussion with the shipping team this month? It's hard to make it to these chats so advance notice of dedicated topics would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi @vrykalak - thanks for the suggestion, I'll get it submitted. 🙂

I recently noted that Ebay is automatically adding a WA state tax for all my purchases made through out of state sellers. The extra paypal payment shows up as being made to ebay inc.
I have reviewed WA legislation and came upon this information:
Sales to Washington consumers
Remote sellers making retail sales to Washington consumers (including sales made through a marketplace) must follow retail sales tax collection laws and may be required to register if you meet either of the two thresholds.
Example: Remote seller retail sales tax registration thresholds
(For TOTAL annual sales in Washington) Annual retail sales to WA Annual transactions to WA Action Less than $10,000 199 or less You do not need to register or collect tax.* Less than $10,000 200 or more You must register, collect, and submit retail sales tax $10,000–$100,000 199 or less You must choose: register, collect, and submit retail sales tax;
or
follow use tax notice and reporting guidelines $10,000–$100,000 200 or more You must register, collect, and submit retail sales tax $100,000.01 or more 199 or less You must register, collect, and submit retail sales tax $100,000.01 or more 200 or more You must register, collect, and submit retail sales tax
*This assumes that you do not have a physical presence in Washington.
My question to Ebay is the following:
Why is it that you continue to charge me the WA state tax on all purchases when the legislation clearly indicates that seller thresholds must be met in order to collect?
I completely understand charging me the tax when purchasing from a high volume seller who meets the $10,000 or 200 more sales annually. I have purchsed items from sellers who are low volume, do not meet the the above noted thresholds, and have no physical presence in WA. Yet, you still apply the tax at chekcout when it clearly indicates that there is no tax collection requirement.
Could you please explain to me why you collect the tax on all sales when it clearly goes against legislation for many sales?

Hi @Anonymous,
Great idea, makes a lot of sense for us to give more notice of chat topics. Leave this with us. We've started to book guests further in advance. So, when we do that we'll give the Community advance notice.
Regarding the shipping team, I do not have them booked in right now. Nate was our guest on a couple of chats recently. Is there a specific shipping topic you'd like to chat about, or would it be just a general shipping chat?
Thanks.

I don't mean to be contrary, but I prefer 7 day or 5 day auctions and I would not like the default to be 10 days.
Everyone certainly is entitled to their opinions and I can see why everyone would like to see it done in their favorite way.
You said that you would get the suggestion submitted Would you please elaborate? Is it a matter of that "team" hearing suggestions from members to get something changed? What does it take to get something like that changed? I don't suppose anyone takes a vote...
Where do we go to get our suggestions heard? And how does ebay decide which ones are good and which ones are not.
Thank you

I recently made an eBay shipping supplies purchase. The order is in transit from Las Vegas, Nevada and I live in Arizona. My sales tax rate is 8.05%, however, I was charged tax at the rate of 7.56%. Please help me understand how the amount of tax charged to the buyer is determined.

If Nate could reply to my PM that would answer my pending shipping questions.
Advanced notice of dedicated topics would be appreciated. I suggest a pinned post in this forum that you can continuously update with anything on the schedule.
