I have started using Bulk Shipping Labels.  I had time the other day and investigated what the Pick List and Billing Summary could do for me.  That day, I had 18 shipments.

The Pick List printed page 1 of 1 and showed only the first 7 transactions.

The Billing Summary printed page 1 of 1 and showed only 9 transactions.

It appears there is a problem with these two reports - I page is not enough.

Why have we been told that Turbo Lister would not go away until Seller Hub could do what TL did?

Obviously, Seller Hub on retaining information for 3 months is no where near the same as TL and will put many sellers behind the eight ball.

Ebay is prominently displaying "Same Day Shipping" on items that sellers specify as 1-day handling time.
I have been raising this issue with customer support since November 2019. No one will fix it because the system has been deliberately programmed to do this.
Will this continue to be a part of Ebay's business strategy for 2020?

When an eBay user attempts to change the e-mail address on their account the system sends them an e-mail to confirm the change. The system will not update the user’s e-mail address on the account until the seller confirms using the link in the confirmation e-mail.

Customer service has the ability to change a user’s e-mail address. When they do this it does NOT require the seller to confirm through the confirmation e-mail. In fact- the seller is not notified through any kind of message that the e-mail on their account has been changed.

Within account settings a seller does not have visibility to the e-mail address on their account. All they can see is a redacted version showing the first and last character and the domain such as- a...z@email.com

A customer service rep can change the user’s e-mail and spell it incorrectly and the seller does not have any notification or visibility to this. It’s unacceptable- as are the consequences for the seller when this happens.

If customer service attempts to change a seller’s e-mail address it should trigger an e-mail confirmation to the seller. The e-mail address on the account should not be changed until the seller confirms through that e-mail. Please send this feedback up the ladder. Thank you.

When is eBay going to fix or improve their search engine? As a buyer it is frustrating because I know I am not getting the best deal unless I take a lot of time to search for what I want. Anymore I only buy stuff on eBay if I have to.  Also I wish I could set by default to hide everyone that is overseas. I don't want to buy from someone overseas 99.999% of the time and would prefer to have them filtered out by default. I still need to make a thread about the common search issues for @Anonymous but I need to set aside an hour or so to do it right.  Overall the current search engine is hurting buyers and sellers IMO.

Hi @itscalledapostingid, happy to address this for you if you can provide an item number example.

I have encountered a problem when I print my paperwork the night before I actually ship.  I have the same problem using bulk shipping or shipping papers one by one.

The shipping papers print with the correct date (the next date).

The order record is updated with the date the shipping paper was printed, not the proposed 'ship' date.  ie on Feb 2, the shipping paper says ship 2/3 but the order shipped date is 2/2 in Seller Hub.

When I printed the copy of the invoices for my records, the ship date again shows incorrectly as 2/2.

The report I downloaded also included this wrong date.

You are consistent, but wrong.  I could not have 'shipped' any US Post Office item on 2/2

A week or so ago a customer cancelled an order. When I issued a refund through eBay, I was $10 short in my PayPal account. In the past when this occurred, PayPal would take the full amount of the refund from my bank account. In this case this did not happen and I got a notice from eBay stating that the refund didn’t go through. When I phoned PayPal to find out why this happened, I was told that eBay had changed their policy and was now requiring that when refunds are done, the full amount has to be in the PayPal account.

First of all, I don’t remember seeing any notification of this change. Additionally, I don’t feel that this benefits the customer at all as a refund is not possible until funds are uploaded to PayPal which can take up to 5 days. How is this fair to the customer? To get this refund to the customer in a timely manner, this forced me to issue a refund directly through PayPal, rather than eBay, which could cause me problems in future.

It would seem to me that, at the very least, eBay should allow the refund to go through and drop any balance not in PayPal onto the monthly bill. This would negate the extremely poor customer service that this current policy forces on sellers.

CS should not be able to make any account changes without a confirmation email as far as I am concerned. It has happened way to many times where a CS agent has meddled in my account without my permission. I now have to borderline threaten them anytime I think they are going to touch my account to protect myself.

Other sellers have mentioned this in community posts. Ebay for business on Facebook and twitter have been notified and are well aware of this issue.  It is a known issue and people want answers. This is a posting ID and I am not mentioning my items on this community forum.

On the monthly e-mail summarizing seller protections for the previous calendar month- what qualifies as a "defect" under the defects removed column? There are several ideas floating around including-

- Actual defect removal (case closed without seller resolution, out of stock cancellation)

- Service metrics removal

- Late shipping removal

- Any case that was escalated and found in the seller's favor

Hi @postcardcountry, I'm not aware of any issues with the Bulk Shipping process. I'll send you an email today to get more information about the issue you've run into and take a closer look.

Below is a repost of a conversation I recently had with other eBay community members. Ultimately I decided to venture with starting my own e-commerce store. Up to 350+ items drafted since then. I do wish eBay was more seller-friendly and I hope this changes at some point. That's why I'm still here today. Mostly just want to get this in front of eBay employees, if you have a response I appreciate it.

I’m in a position where I want to pay eBay $720 for an annual premium store subscription. I cannot commit at this time because I fear eBay will make changes that could ruin me as a seller.

Kindly a little more backstory to help you understand my situation. I purchased over $7,000 in very targeted bulk trading card listings. I’ve almost completed sorting everything and would have around 1,500 buy it now listings were I to commit to a store. My intention absolutely was to start a store here, but I’ve become increasingly concerned the more I learn from other sellers experiences.

Regarding managed payments. My card listings would be primarily $1 each. I’m currently using PayPal Micropayments which equates to 5 cents + 5%, ultimately 10 cents on a standard $1 card. Managed payments would be 25 cents alone per card! 25% of the items value (on a standard $1 card) literally taken for payment processing alone (plus a percentage, 2.7%?) plus FVF, listing fees and promotion fees. All in all about 36% minimum on a $1 card versus 20% now (FVF + micropayment). Nearly double! The greed is unbelievable. There is a market for high volume, low price sellers here. There is also a limit for what reasonable buyers will pay. Other card sites already sell at considerably cheaper prices (TCGPlayer great example), yet eBay has the user volume advantage FOR NOW. Ultimately prices will rise under managed payments on eBay for this niche category, both buyers and sellers will at some point seek other venues. You risk almost pricing this niche category out of existence for what average reasonable buyers would pay. How ironic it is that eBay may undermine one if its greatest competitive advantages, that being the go to source for niche and unique products.

I am not happy with the approach eBay takes regarding almost knowing what is best for me as a seller. It is 100% not eBays place to enable best offer on my listings against my wishes. The annoyance of promoted listings impacting the search when filtered and no intent to change how this works. GTC being forced upon me. It feels my partner in this (eBay) has the primary goal of taking as much as possible from me while providing less and less outlook and stability.

Many are complaining sales are down. I’ve been here off and on for years but have also felt a similar impact in recent months. I’m happy some sellers are having a great start to 2020, the boards are however littered with posts regarding slow sales from frustrated sellers. It seems eBay keeps shooting itself in the foot for short term profits. I find it crazy that as a serious seller I’m afraid to give you $720 to jump in and get started. I just don’t trust the current direction from leadership, be it incompetence or malice. It is an issue though and the disconnect with sellers is unbelievable.
