I have a question about yesterday's announcement re. APV.
"With APV, overpaid postage is automatically credited back to senders’ balance, meaning sellers will not overpay for postage."
Where will the credit be applied? On PayPal, on eBay?
Hi @beaglecooks
Overpayment on postage returned to eBay from USPS will be placed back on the PayPal account originally used to purchase the label.
Thanks.

So, if you have 4 ID's and sell on .com and .ca you would have to deal with 8 Seller Hubs, one for each different ID and each different site.
How does this make it a replacement for Turbo Lister which can do it all.
Was the song and dance about getting rid of Turbo Lister and that the Seller Hub will replace it just a bunch of bunk.
Does Ebay even care that they are not giving us the full and truthful information.
Maybe they should retain Turbo Lister!
If I have to pay a bunch of money to replace Turbo Lister, it will make it very unprofitable to stay with Ebay and keep 1 or more stores.
Honest comments please and not we will refer it to the appropriate team.
Thank you
Howdy @papermoneyforme - Seller Hub is not primarily a listing tool - it is a tool designed to give you deep dive information associated with your listing categories, a tool to manage and fulfill your orders and do market research and get other suggestions on how to grow your business. Because of its tailored nature, it is account and site specific.
While we've been told that all the features of Turbo Lister will be eventually integrated into Seller Hub, we don't have a time line on when.
If you are looking for a listing tool that can be a one-stop shop for multiple accounts across multiple sites you could consider a tool like File Exchange.
Why should we as sellers have to pay for a 3rd party listing tool when Turbo Lister works but The replacement, Seller Hub does not.
Why does Ebay waste so much time and money with changes that do nothing but punish sellers financially

Might seem miniscule to some people but to me it's an unecessary change and a waste of resources that went into this change that instead could have gone towards actually fixing bugs and glitches.
Hi @bigmotormania - the purpose is ultimately to make the Seller Hub the one place you come to for selling, account research and order fulfillment. I can see why you wouldn't find it particularly helpful as those extra clicks add up! I can make sure that your feedback is heard. 🙂

Hi @automotivepartsrecyclrs, we had a recap meeting on eBay Open this morning, and that was brought up as feedback. We've done larger regional seller meetings in the past. For now, eBay Open is committed to Vegas for the next couple of years, but I know the feedback as to looking into other areas is being considered.
Thanks!

Why not a Ebay open 2017 for west coast and later in the year for us on the east coast? Kinda hard to travel across the USA.

It seems I am going to have a problem again. I have someone who messaged me she is going to return two pair of pants she purchased. Her reason "nursing home won't let her keep them". I dread so much he return since my giving the proper refund creates a problem. She has not told EBay and she has not told me how she intends to handle her return. I can't help her as they turn into such a mess. I never got the final value fee on the last one. It is getting to where it just depresses me to list because someone might want to return.
Now what Texy : )
Taking a return does not have to cause you such anxiety. Just come up with a policy that works for you and your customers within the rules of Ebay. Since your buyer has contacted you, be completely professional and send her an email using Ebay's M2M system. Let her know that you are sorry she is having this issue and give her your address so that she may return the items. Also ask her to let you know when she has them mailed back so you could be on the look out for them. Let her know that once you receive them back you will promptly issue a refund to her less the original shipping.
When you have the item back, go to PP and issue the refund less the original shipping. Then you need to go to Ebay Resolution center and file for a Cancellation due to Buyer Return [NOT a seller reason]. You do need to do the refund first as the cancellation process doesn't allow for partial refunds. If you were refunding the entire amount, you could do the Cancellation first and refund the full amount during the cancellation process. But not with a partial refund.
Good Luck! You have an honest buyer, so that is a BIG plus.

For now--who knows when it will change--you can get back to all the old page formats by clicking "opt out" on the top right of the Seller Hub screen.
Then bookmark those pages, and return to Seller Hub via "ebay.com/sellerhub"
This is one of many clunkinesses of Seller Hub, but there is a workaround.,
I like the seller hub, I just don't understand the sudden change to the unsolds page and ONLY the unsolds page. It makes no sense. My Active and My Solds pages are the exact same as they were before, but the Unsolds page is suddenly different and I can't do basically the core function of that page: Relist.
Like I said, it might seem miniscule but it's one of those changes that I fail to understand.

Personally, I feel like the "catalog team" have made too many changes. The media catalog photos still wont upload thru tl. But the tl folks helped me discover a workaround. Its time consuming, but it mostly works.

I am a book seller here on eBay.
I have a couple of questions.
1 - I was looking at eBay's newly redisigned homepage the other day and noticed that the "Books" category is no longer represented on the homepage.
Is this an oversight or is this intentional?
2 - I also noticed that eBay has recently redisigned the "All Categories" page, located here.
http://www.ebay.com/sch/allcategories/all-categories
Once again the "Books" category and its 12 sub categories is not listed on eBay.com's newly redisigned "All Categories" page. The exclusion of Books from this page is very disturbing to me as a book seller, since the term that is used is "All Categories". This infers that all of the categories on eBay are shown and represented on this page. As a buyer I might conclude that eBay does not sell books at all. When in fact eBay.com has over 62 MILLION listings within the "Books" category. Furthermore those 62 MILLION book listings represent approxiametly 5.5% of all of eBay.com's listings.
Is this an oversight or is this intentional?
If the exclusion of the "Books" category is intentional, can you provide me with an answer or a reason for the exclusion from the eBay "All Categories" page?

As a Buyer I have been having many problems trying to pay for My orders. I have found that Many orders I can't pay with an e-Check, even though PayPal has Normally given me an instant transfer from My account. What I have found out that My checking account is virtually unusable for MOST Sellers at the moment.
Sellers that I have not been able to pay I could pay if I used My card instead of e-Checks. I am Not talking BINs(You stated before that IPR is on all BINS NOW) I am having problems paying for invoices also. Not only that Sellers can't combine orders for me, so I am getting too many packages, not counting the extra postage I am paying.
I have also found that When I pay for auctions that Instead of the shopping cart combining them automatically for each Seller I have won bids,(most with free shipping) on I am paying them Separately. I have had The cart pay for only One item from a Seller and NOT Pay for the other.
I posted here about all My difficulties here...http://community.ebay.com/t5/Payments/Problems-with-Payments-ALL-MY-PROBLEMS/m-p/27298129#M44...
I am wondering IF You Can Tell Us/Sellers how to Set their payments up so they are able to take e-Checks with Auctions, and why this problem also happening on Auctions. I never had this problem before the "New" cart changes were implemented.
Thank You for answering My question! Sugar

Why is it taking upto 3 days or more for tracking information to show on the website? We can view when it was scanned and where it actually is with hours on the usps website but lagging way behind on the ebay site.
To avoid this train wreck we have been sending all buyers updates on tracking.

I've been examined a lot of code for sellers trying to get their listings mobile compliant. Some of what you see may simply be a limitation of eBay's tool rather than a bug. eBay's "width" solution adds (success) a simple snip of code that can only fix issues with photos found in simple templates. However, there can be other content (failure) in the page that prevents the page from shrinking, including table code, embedded CSS, long unbreakable words, and long runs of underscores or dots.
For example, eBay would not be able to fix this listing 391038130786 due to the underlying code. If you need more help with mobile friendly or active content, I can assist on this forum:
http://community.ebay.com/t5/Replacing-Active-Content/bd-p/activecontent
Thank you for the information. It ONLY happens when I correct the meta tag too and NOT all the time. If I just correct the scrolling, it is fine. But if I add on the correction of the meta tag, about 75% of the time it causes a problem with the scrolling.

Question - I'll be going on vacation at the end of Aug. I usually hide my items - but when I put them to view again - it seems that they need to re-index all over again and sales are very slow for about a month.
Do you lose your place in rotation because the items are hidden?
Hey @tunicaslot - if you put your items on Vacation hold and block purchases, when you bring items back after vacation the items will re-index, which could take up to 24 hours to get back into search.
Just got back from vacation Tuesday. I am noticing the slowness.
Me too. I just returned on Sunday.
I also just returned from vacation, and I did put my store on vacation during the 10 days off. However, I choose not to hide my items and instead increased my handling time on all items to 10 days for the duration. I haven't seen any slowness (or increase) in sales during or after my trip. The only downside was having all the orders to ship when I got back..... and of course, resetting the items back to my normal handling time.

GOOD POINT! I'll check all my templates to be sure all text sizes are scalable and all table widths are percentages. Sometimes Frontpage changes those on me, and I don't notice it.
Question: what is the screen width in pixels for the mobile app?

Oh Tyler, it is suppose to be a listing tool as well. At least that is what sellers have been told. We have been told that the new Sellers Hub will take over for sellers that are currently using Turbo Lister. And the delay in retiring Turbo Lister is due to the fact that Ebay hasn't got the programing done to replace the functions in the Seller's Hub.

The eBay help pages still indicate that the maximum number of variations per listing is 250; however, the new listing tool appears to allow more than that. So...
What is the current/correct maximum number of variations allowed per listing?
(If 250 is still the maximum allowed, I have to assume that the new selling form just leaves room for "all possible variations" to be auto-created, but would not actually allow an item to be listed without the appropriate number being deleted first. If the maximum number has actually increased, then it would be helpful to have the help pages reflect that.)
Thanks.
Hi @imagizeyourworld - the current maximum number of variations within a single listing is 250. I'd love for it to expand, but haven't heard any rumors of that changing as yet.
