The format of our chat mirrors the format of our Community Discussion Boards, where each post will appear in the thread chronologically. Hello,
Is it true that if a seller calls in to have a return case closed any day after the last return date, the CS rep has no way to close the case and that it will just stay open for another 2 weeks, allowing the buyer 4 weeks instead of 2 weeks for the return, and then the case will close automatically after a total of 4 weeks staying open?

I still don't get the mentality with eBay counting all returns against sellers. I had a buyer open a SNAD against me today on an item that I shipped out the night before. Then a minute later closed it. That now is one more strike against my account that shouldn't be there. This doesn't just hurt the relationship between the seller and eBay. It also makes it so I am less inclined to give the buyer good treatment.
If eBay is that hard up on money just fabricate some phony uninvoiced charges to bill me for. Oh wait you already do that... Silly me.

Also I know y'all can't discuss account stuff. I do find it curious the seller I found avoiding fees has added another 1000 listings to their previous 79k. I think I know how they are getting away with it now. Even if I did try I am guessing my account would get hit within the hour.

I noticed an odd thing earlier today. When I click on the little Door icon, it takes us to the store of that sellers.
That works on my Seller Hub and if I'm in a listing for myself or someone else.
However if I click on the door icon that is at the top of listing all the seller's items, the Door Icon doesn't work.

What happened within the last 2 weeks with no sales? Did eBay make another crazy change that has everything goofed up AGAIN?
My sales dropped down to $6.68 in the last 7 days. I am not the only one as others have been on the boards with the same results. NO SALES.
If sales don't pick up within the next 7 days, I will start closing out my listings as they expire.
There has been no announcement made by eBay about technical issues or anything. If you want to get rid of sellers, just say so, so we can all move to another platform to sell.
I am very disgusted with how sales just keep going down and down.

@stuff4divas in these situations a return will remain open for 15 business days beginning the date the return was accepted. There are some instances where it may remain open for 35 business days, but the more common timeframe is 15 business days. To get timeline details about specific returns sellers would need to speak with customer support.

I would blame the economy, but I know otherwise at this point. When trying to source inventory on Hibid prices have been insane. Laptops are bringing more money there than I can sell them for here some of the time. That is even with bad pictures, no description, and local pickup only.

I'm very pleased with the new Packing Slip. Just one question: Any plans to make this uniform throughout the site? At present, if I want to use the new packing slip, I must access it by going to Seller Hub > Orders and use the drop down for "Print Packing Slips and More".. There are other ways to access Packing Slips, but none of them use the new Packing Slip.

Yep, I've been reporting that for at least a year.

@gwzcomps - My offer still stands to have the account looked at. I am not seeing a response to my e-mail asking for the user ID, so if you can get that over to me I can move forward on this.

"Yep, I've been reporting that for at least a year."
Give it another decade, then they might care. Granted if they are putting effort into redesigning the store pages maybe they should care.

@mam98031 thanks, I'll get this example reported!

Hi Brian,
I sell products that are subject to FDA regulations and I do have this disclaimer in all my listings.
I sold an x-ray last night, but I can't ship it until the doctor furnishes his radiation registration number for us to complete the FDA 2579 form and the EPE paperwork (equipment performance evaluation).
I contacted the doctor via email this morning, but didn't receive a response.
I then called the office and they told me they would call me back in an hour with the information, but never did. I called again and left a message, but still no response.
I am suppose to ship today since they made the purchase last night, but I can't due to the buyer not responding.
Do I just cancel the sale due to bad address since I can't ship to his address without this information.
I am now out of time to get everything done and still ship today.
We don't do anything until we have this information. We've wasted time in the past doing it before hand and the customer didn't have the proper paperwork and was not authorized to purchase.
