about a week ago, my iPad 5s (both of them), stopped opening the tracking history popup when I click the tracking number listed in my Purchase History using the Safari browser. The number shows, it's blue like a link, but nothing is happening at all when I click it. Every other link on the page works just fine. If I used Chrome with the ipads, the links work. These same tracking links work fine on my laptop in other browsers. But I cannot get them to work on the ipad with Safari, which my husband prefers to use (keep it simple). Yes, I know I can get the same information in order details, but my husband who is 65 also uses this and wants this fixed because it's what he's used to and it should work. I have checked the iPad settings for popups. It is the same regardless of whether I allow or disallow them. I can open a popup on another site. I have cleared history, I have turned it off and restarted. I am out of ideas and not finding any other talk of this same problem on anywhere. Any suggestions?

Safari seems to have many issues recently. Users are complaining that search filters are not working with Safari in some cases.
Aside from using a different browser, it might be worth trying to view tracking on your Summary page to see if those tracking links work better there for you, rather than having to open each individual order details page.

I have had the same issue on my iPad Air 2. No solution. I starting using my laptop if I wanted to track. Like your husband, I find it much easier to use my iPad, and find the situation unacceptable.

Same here, Safari on a desktop Mac. started a couple weeks ago, thought it would have resolved by now. New versions of Safari (14.0.1) block trackers, wondering if that's related....

Good point. If you disable that cross-site tracking protection, do the Purchase History tracking links work again?

Turned off tracking, no change. Safari isn't reporting any cross-site tracking on My eBay page anyway, so that's not it.... Copy/paste tracking number into appropriate carrier works (of course), and tracking in other areas of eBay works, just not on My eBay page.

I've had this issue for more than 6 months now on Safari 14.1 meanwhile Firefox does not have the same issue.

If you right click on the tracking number and open in a new window or tab or incognito or and InPrivate Window then they will work on Chrome and Edge.

If you right click on the tracking number and open in a new window or tab or incognito or and InPrivate Window then they will work on Chrome and Edge. Actually if you go incognito or InPrivate then you will have to sign in again. So just open in another tab or window.
