ebay spam.JPGThe messages coming in (from eBay, the verified legitimate account as far as I can tell) list, at the given times, as follows:

"Jan 16 14:03

Jan 21 10:38

Jan 22 17:29
153340384412 - Mattress Pad Bed Topper 60"x80" New 3'' Queen Size Memory Foam Bamboo Cover"

I've never bought anything but jewellery on here. I haven't been charged for any of these but it seems odd nonetheless because each of these is a plausible household purchase (just not for me), and so it makes me suspect a scam.

Anyone have any clue what's going on or has received emails in a similar vein?

Thanks!

did you put any into your watch list or even look at any of them?

haven't seen it before, but could be some kind of new ebay test......which may be glitching......

Those are not emails they are eBay messages (you may have gotten carbon copy outside emails also, but accuracy in terminology is important here)

If they are in your eBay messaging inbox, and say from eBay as the screenshot shows, they are from eBay - it is not a scam.

Is there anything in those messages (or any carbon copy emails you received) that gives any indication that you are the wrong target for the messages? A username mentioned in them that is not you, etc. ?

Could be a test that went wrong (as dhbookds suggested), or could be crossed account wires (things like that have happened).

Looking carefully at the messages could yield some insight into what may be going on.

Look at your "recently viewed" history here: https://www.ebay.com/myb/container?key=recentlyviewed

Anything like the items in the messages there? If so, again could be crossed wires, someone in your household using your computer device, or could mean your account is compromised and someone in Hackmanistan is able to login to your account and browse items. (not saying it's so, just a possibility)

You might also want to look at other account settings just to be sure
https://my.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?MyEbay&CurrentPage=MyeBayMyAccounts&FClassic=true
email addresses, physical addresses, phone numbers, names, etc, and change you eBay password for good measure.
