So im trying to list an item and it takes to a Verify your phone number page.

I have already done this.

It will no longer take my phone number and says "Something went wrong. Check everything is right below."

Wow, I have been trying to figure out this same problem for hours and tried the Canada thing....and it finally worked. So weird!

Can also confirm the Canada country code works and I'm from the UK.

When it allowed me to move to the next step I was able to edit the number back to the UK code to verify as a seller.

Well changing US to Canada worked for me too.  The total lack of support from eBay themselves is pretty dreadful now.

Canada hack doesn't work for me, I'm in the UK.

I've no Canada phone to receive an SMS on but in any case the way the site responds makes me think it doesn't even try.

Setting to Canada did not work for me either / anymore - stuck at the same spot. 

Chatted with help yesterday, they told me to try again in 12-24 hours.
