messages not showing up in inbox

For the past week my messages from sellers and buyers will not show up in my ebay inbox but I get an email on my gmail account,.  So strange. What to do?

I have to agree with you.  I tried to explain there is a glitch and I may see a message on my email on my phone, but am unable to reply to it.  I go to the computer and there's no message at all to reply to.    It's not on the the phone app either.  Where are all these messages?????

I have to click on contact ebay user and type in all the info.  

Bidders/Buyers are sending questions and getting very upset from lack or late responses.  I am only assuming they are receiving any response from me at all.

Another customer said she tried and tried to pay with PayPal after I accepted her best offer but continued receiving an error message.  After 6 days it finally went through.  Her message asking for my assistance came to about 12 hours after she sent it.  Anyone else have that problem?

I can't figure out any workaround.  Very disheartening.

as a buyer I rely on getting emails saying when an item is ending, bidding notices, and won notices (as well as when I have messages), now I am getting NONE of these to my email account (not gmail). I have gotten a few emails from members (like when I bought something and they wished to add me to their notifications list). 

I called ebay and asked WHY I am not getting these---they were confused and asked me to check my prefences which are set to real time. This has been going on for a while now.

I even tried to reply to a message I got and checked the 'send me a copy' and nope, no copy sent to me. Now the only way I can verify stuff is with my paypal emails (which are working just fine), otherwise I would have no 'paper trail' of items I have won/buyitnow/etc for the last few weeks.

I find that using their support  system just has  me going round in circles

Seller asking me for details through eBay email, no way to reply. Great.

Horrible interface as well, should be given a direct reply link in the email and the order info.

Be sure you give it plently of time....... I find the message comes thru and then it take at least a minute or more for the reply box to show up.

The reverse is happening to me. Sometimes I don't get a message in the message box but I get no notifications through email. Very frustrating

Same problem.  Suddenly all the messages I used to get sent to my hotmail inbox are not coming through any longer.  They are showing up in the ebay inbox but I like them directed to my email.  I haven't changed any settings on ebay or hotmail but the messages are not coming into my hotmail account.  tried calling ebay, they said call hotmail, tried hotmail, they said try ebay.  Should ahve guessed.  not really much help but don't know what the problem is still.

I have had the same problem for around a week, some messages were coming through and I just through it is school holiday and people are not asking questions as better things to do.  I only found out this evening and I do not know how I have not received a neg feedback from it as a couple of urgent problems were not addressed.

I feel so annoyed, I have to go to Ebay messages to make sure as 70% of questions did not come to my hotmail account.

Will ring ebay tomorrow but seems from previous posts they do not fix the problem, it has to be coming from them!!

Same issue the last few months. No messages in ebay, but receive them in personal email account. Today, 09/27/2018, called ebay, spoke to Manilyn - Philippines, explained issue. She will turn over to ebay tech support, then hangs up without getting my add info. Call back from Charm - Philippines, no record of my call, explained everything again, she will have supervisor call me back. I tried...hopefully buyers/bidders will not give up on me!!

Just to confirm ebay - this is still a problem! I sent an email to seller via Gmail with key information about pick up for an item I had bought. They did not receive this message so the arrangement fell through. Every other message sent via Gmail went through apart from one. This is a key part of the eBay service and it's unreliable. I am now out of pocket, frustrated and I will not be using ebay any more.

eBay messaging has absolutely nothing to do with sending Gmail email messages.

Same here July 2019, can not see my messages and can not see my purchases. Just increadible, eBay will lose millions of users if they dont fix this, this is serious.

I've never had this issue before but the same thing is happening to me 7/26-7/27/19! Was corresponding with two buyers about the same item yesterday. Sent a message to one through the iPhone eBay app while out  (message said sent and I see my sent messages in my sent folder) and never got a response, which was unusual as this person had been very good about responding in the past. Got a message from another potential buyer in the afternoon, was not home and was alerted through phone app, I replied on my laptop at home later last evening and never heard back from him either (or so I thought), which I found a little odd. Then this afternoon I was on the 'my selling overview page' on my laptop and just happened to notice under "messages from buyers" the start of his response message to me but I can only see a few words of it, not the entire thing. I was shocked... I received no alert on my phone, no email to my Yahoo inbox, no notification on eBay on my laptop, nor anything suggesting there was a new message in my eBay message inbox- this message isn't there on my computer or my phone app, and when I tried to click on the reply button on the overview page (the only place this message semi exists), it takes me directly to my inbox where there is again, NO message. This is incredibly frustrating....turned off my phone, signed in and out of eBay on both phone and laptop, tried Chrome and Safari...not making any difference...nothing...not sure what is causing this...
