Re: markdown manager stuck on 'pending' and 'processing' for an hour now.

I was snooping around since if I ADD a listing I can mark it down without a delay. I’ve been waiting all day. The only thing I can come up with such as other product issues, if you take them down and re-list them is the only way I can figure out to do it since I’m allowed 200 listings.

Otherwise, SINCE I CANNOT DELETE THE PROMOTED LISTINGS (that are NOT promoting), I don’t want to wake up tomorrow to realize the marked down products that I will have to do manually will then be 20-40% off instead.

I read where someone said they are listing less and less. I do believe that’s why buyers are “less and less”.

I did find this on Ina’s page: https://www.ecommercebytes.com/C/abblog/blog.pl?/pl/2018/5/1527117433.html

In Ina’s blog it states you have to wait 14 days! Well, these products were ALREADY LISTED FOR 30 DAYS and I was actually re-marking them down since I have had them for 30 days. I’m losing sales. Not too happy about that.

Sometimes I get an issue and the only solution is to remove it and re-list it. Maybe they feel they will get more money? IDK??

Ebay needs to fix this mark Down manager fast, this is a big week for Cyber sales and alot of us are affected by this, Ebay needs to quit making changes, this always happens whether it is an update something changing then something stops working and who pays the price us sellers, sales are horrible because of this glitch, customer service is a joke, they have 0 answers no solutions bunch of robots that read a screen thats all.

Re: markdown manager stuck on 'pending' and 'processing' for an hour now.

As I am attempting to re-list all those I have taken down, it keeps telling me it’s a duplicate listing from the ones I ended. Not only is it bad for sellers, it’s bad for buyers because they are not getting the best deals and they want to know where the buyers went?

I quit trying to re-list them. It doesn’t seem worth the aggravation.

Re: markdown manager stuck on 'pending' and 'processing' for an hour now.

None of my sales ran for Black Friday or Cyber Monday. Tried to close those promotions and start some new ones for today... But, still "processing"...
I thought it was just me until I found this feed.
It's making me really consider shifting even more of my focus to my mirrored Etsy store. This is just idiotic...

Same here!!! This is 4th Quarter ebay...Cyber Week. Pick up the ball. I am very upset.  Whatever teams  of obviously lackluster ebay execs have a pulse out there..they need to step up and do their job. This is a selling platform. I feel like every day is either April Fools or Groundhog Day.  I am calling ebay tomorrow to complain about this. I suggest others having this problem do the same. It's getting to the point to where I have lost any hope or faith that things could get back to where they were before the whole platform went haywire. I am scared of what 2020 will bring.

Re: markdown manager stuck on 'pending' and 'processing' for an hour now.

I am at over 36 hours after my promotion should have ended on almost 10,000 items.   I can't put on a sale on my other 10,000 items because it will grab the  "still on sale" items and further reduce them.  Sales have completely slumped.  I guess at this point I will spend the day manually bulk editing to try and restore the non sale price...I really want to cry/scream/drink heavily.  My biggest fear is that this is going to be a repeated issue that they spot resolve (like everything else).

ebay customer service was polite but completely apathetic when I called.  Had I not just renewed my store subscription I would seriously consider shutting down my ebay operation.  By the way my ebay bill (at over $1,000) arrived promptly on time....lol

I hope everyone else has better luck with this then I am having.

I guess I'm not alone. My sale was supposed to end yesterday but they are still on sale today.  It's been sitting at "processing" since 11pm yesterday.

@walkerspostcards  - So sorry to hear this is happening to you.  I definitely feel your frustration.

As far as having to manually bulk edit, with as many listings as you have, do you use the bulk editor in Seller Hub or are you uploading files through File Exchange?  I was thinking maybe uploading a file with revised pricing through File Exchange might be faster for you and might possibly be like hitting a "reset" button to get those listings back to regular price so you can run new promotions.

Re: markdown manager stuck on 'pending' and 'processing' for an hour now.

Well in the middle of bulk editing (which I was doing via seller hub) some of my listings had errors which were due to "markdown manager processing".  When I went to the next page to edit, my promotion/sale had finally ended.  It has been 36 hours and I manually edited 3,000 of the 10,000 but it's done.

I'm afraid to put on another sale but I need to generate some revenue.

I hope everyone has some luck and can make some sales!

Re: markdown manager stuck on 'pending' and 'processing' for an hour now.

When my sales were over and trying to again mark them down it would not work. It kept saying processing. Last night I took all of them down and started over and now I am getting the markdowns that I wanted, but I had to end them, then re-list them. It’s working now.

@cumberlandgapshop

That link is to a blog about shipping emails and I don't see anything about waiting 14 days..........there was a requirement for having an item up for 14 days before you could put it on sale......but that was changed over a year ago...........

Re: markdown manager stuck on 'pending' and 'processing' for an hour now.

Okay. You are correct. The 14 days was over a year ago. I assumed it was still the case. The good news is when I re-listed them I was able to do the markdowns. Do you have any updated information of why it is this way?

I know when I tried to edit a title on one of my listings about a week ago I was unable to do so and it was a BIN. I had to take it down to get it to work again. Curious is all.
