incorrect/old PayPal account used for eBay purchase, how do I get paid to my active account?

Just sold an item on eBay for £75. The buyer said he paid the money but I didn’t see it in my PayPal. Turns out, it was the wrong PayPal address linked to eBay, my old one and is inactive now. How do I get paid when he already sent the payment to my inactive account? What do I, as a seller need to do, and what does he need to do?

You may want to sign out of ebay.com and sign back in to ebay.co.uk instead, to start with.

If you are unable to add your old address to your current PayPal account, you will have to get in touch with PayPal to see what your options are.

Check your other listings to make sure they have the correct email address attached. You can check by using the "sell similar" feature, and then backing out rather than creating a new listing.
