Since the REPLY button is missing when I try to reply to a post titled "handling cost" I'll try this! Post is copy/pasted below: I just tried the solution suggested by mega-ma-roo in reply to attic2barn's inquiry and it doesn't work. Clicking the "handling box" under "add services>calculate shipping" lets you know what the shipping would be with a handling cost added. It doesn't actually add anything! Is the missing "handling" box a temporary bug or are we getting screwed again?

What happened to the "handling cost" box on the listing page?

It is well hidden now. This is the only way I have found to get to it.
Click on the "Add services" button in the shipping section.
Click on "Calculate shipping" at the bottom of the screen that opens.
This opens the Shipping calculator and you add the handling fees there.
I think when you return to the listing tool, you need to check the box for Calculated shipping rule. I am trying to get some verification on that.

There is no need for a separate handling charge for a flat rate shipping listing. Just increase your shipping charge. A separate handling charge is only for calculated shipping, always has been, always will be.

I don't use flat rate shipping. The handling box disappeared sometime within the last few weeks. Only with new listings though. If I re-list an item the box is still there.

OK. I just tried the edit option on my last two listings and discovered that the handling option was turned off, with no input from me, under the "see shipping options". I was not aware of it's existence. I turned the handling button on and it seems to be working now. Thanks for your help .
